All downloads disconnecting after ~1 minute
Hello,
I've been using JDownloader for the past 4-5 months without issue on a windows 7 64 bit machine. I've got 2 premium accounts (fileserve & filesonic) for downloading. Until last Thursday/Friday I've had no issues downloading GB's at a time, at about 3-4MB/s. Since Thursday/Friday I get a maximum of 1 minute of connectivity until it is lost. They eventually re-start but die again shortly there-after. My chrome plugin no longer works but I suspect that has to do with Chrome moving from release 13 to 14, besides that I haven't changed anything on my system or home network, no windows updates (disabled). JDownloader is set to download automatically. That's about it. The biggest problem is that after a connection is lost, each subsequent wait for connection becomes longer and longer Here's the exception from the log: --------- Thread: 106 ----------------------- 106 26/09/11 21:28:45 - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> Error occured: ERROR_TIMEOUT_REACHED 106 26/09/11 21:28:45 - SEVERE [java_downloader] -> A critical Downloaderror occured. what security (firewall/antivirus/malware) packages are you using? Socket errors generally are result from one of those applications starts interfering with JD. These tend to auto update without you knowing! Also look for live web/http scanning within those packages they tend to also have separate setup/exemptions. Socket issues can also be caused by network hardware, or ISPs.

@junkedBrian
I recommend to :- 1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. 2) Reduce the Max. Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links. Last edited by remi; 28.09.2011 at 09:00. Reason: typo |

ugh
thanks guys, I have windows defender/firewall turned off, but use AVG Free, it updated automatically last week. I disabled the "Link Scanner" portion of it this morning, and it seems to do the trick.
Thanks! |
