MediaFire should get absolute priority
As MediaFire is becoming the favourite host of more and more people, this host should be treated with absolute priority.
Please, I beg you to stop developing/updating other plugins/addons and other bells & wistles. |

facts
People start switching over to mediafire or they just put 2 big file parts only in megaupload as suppose to 30-40.
it is very important to be able to support mediafire because it is getting popular. |

I am also getting the MediaFire Plugin Out Of Date Error. Earlier was giving an plugin out of date error.

My downloads have decreased with 90% since Mediafire links are no longer working. Megaupload has captchas. Rapidshare has wait times. 4shared.com is not supported by jD. Mediafire was heaven. No captchas, no wait times, parallel downloads, very high speed... I'll have to move to much less popular hosts. |

beta
Thanks for the quick feedback. I'm sure jD is on the right track...:)
Mediafire: I''l wait for the next update. 4shared.com: has never worked and isn't included in the list of hosters. When I try your link, it gives me 12 files coming from 4share.com, which is another domain. Why is it only included in the new beta? When do you expect the current beta to evolve in a stable release? I see there are several issues with the beta release. |

You can't use (all) new beta plugins in the stable und you don't have to!
And again: The 4shared plugin is there and working but you have to use the beta if you wanna download from 4shared with jdownloader! If it also doesn't work with the beta, create a new thread for this but for me it definitly worked! ...and what do you mean by "4share.com, which is another domain. Why is it only included in the new beta?" ? 4share.com is an advertising site, no hoster. The only domain for 4shared.com that i know is 4shared.com, i don't think that there is another 4shared domain. The plugin is working so what's wrong ? GreeZ pspzockerscene |

I know it MIGHT be stupid, but i read another OpenSource downloader Code, and it MIGHT change if you add a cockie for Mediafire...
so that Mediafire thinks you are a normal Firefox/Else user, not using JD just a thought, please tell me your opinion (btw, i'm also a Java Programmer, so if you need some help, tell me) |

What I tried to explain :- When I tried your 4shared.com link in the 0.4.9-version of jD I got 12 files. Among them many 4share.com files that couldn't be downloaded. The only 2 files that can be downloaded are http links. No host is indicated, but indeed they come from the 4shared.com domain. 1) The html file couldn't be downloaded because of "service unavailable". It is a *.part5.rar file. 2) The exe file could be downloaded. You said that 4share.com is an advertising site, no hoster. The 4share.com host is supported by the 0.4.9-version of jD, because it is in the list of hosts (ID 28)...:confused: I hope this confusion is solved in the beta version of jD. |

Maybe this was an old bug or something like that with 4share.
It has been removed in the beta. As i explained, the 4shared plugin doesn't work in the stable (0.4X) because it wasn't fixed there. It works in the beta and when the beta gets stable you can just update and use it. At the moment you have to use the beta to download there. There is no other way to get it working;) |

Mediafire.com plugin desatualizado
Well today also gave no error in plugins MediaFire, renice tried several times and no modifications ... Had already happened before it was over months ago. Seguier the instructions above and nothing below the printscreen. Start date of the error 04/05/2010 at 20hs.
I appreciate the help! |

yes... mediafire again changed something.....

seems really strange...
because Mediafire and Hotfile just snapped after the latest update (this morning) Isn't the new update messing around with the latest "patches"? because MF and HF were ok just before it... and the same errors are coming back (plugin out of date with MF straight when download begins, plugin out of date for HF right after the captcha is entered) ... maybe i'm wrong, but it could be it! ++ |

These MediaFire problems are causing a heated debate at a film share site, where the admin is blaming JDownloader, calling it a piece of "shite, full of bugs", and also claiming that MediaFire actually blocks the IPs of people using JDownloader !

IP blocking...
Not for the moment, as i can DL right in firefox! it's suicidal if they play that kind of game, as you can delay or program your downloads by Downthemall or other managers! Knowing that ip blocking is somewhat heavy and useless.. just a hoax for me (but i maybe wrong) |

jD might need to incorporate more browser intelligence (JavaScript) in order to tackle big sites like MF.
We saw that with other hosts (like zippycrap - I'm not sure about the exact name ) as well. |
#76
|
|||
|
|||
to be honest, it's understandable from MF, knowing that they pay themselves with the ads or with their users suscribing (obviously, ads can be blocked easily )
this will be a perpetual fight between them and jD developpers, as they will surely strengthen their security against that kind of software! So, as we do everytime, let's wait for a solution... (as patience is worth the gain...) |
