Today I have found out that my Instagram login in JDownloader isn't active because of the "Login cookies expired" error.

I have tried to renew them several times by entering cookie information from "Flag cookies" Chrome extension as I usually do, but that didn't fix the problem and I still get "Login cookies expired" error.

Also, I have found out that both of the accounts which I have previously used in JDownloader now need a verification via phone number/e-mail every single time I try to login with it in a browser, despite me using these accounts only for JDownloader.

I'm not sure if that may be a reason for the errors, but several days ago I have tried to download all images from several accounts (max simultaneous downloads - 1 image at a time).

Here too, since a week or so.

Cookies exported, account is working in jD. First crawl (wether single images, profiles or saved posts) -> "Cookies expired" instantly and "No account found", and also a re-login in the browser is needed. Seems like Instagram detect jD and blocks this.

As explained in other threads, Instagram can- and will always be able to detect bots.

JDownloader is not a tool dedicated to downloading from Instagram so you might want to look for other open source tools that are specifically made to download from Instagram.
Search for such tools for example on: github.com

Additionally I was unable to reproduce this issue:
Added IG cookies, crawled a big IG profile (only crawl, no download) -> Cookies were still valid.

Interestingly enough, I have tried other options, but despite many github programs stating Instagram downloading options, none of them worked at the time I was searching for a working Instagram downloader after my Chrome Extension for it stopped working.

Only JDownloader was able to scrap whole accounts and with customized options which I needed. So I really hope it will keep that function.

I have tried several times adding IG cookies of the account I was speaking about in my first post again, but it didn't work.

After that I decided to create a new Instagram account and add IG cookies of that account and it finally worked, but it was still throwing "Login cookies expired" error several times a day, which was fixable by cookies update.

I have a theory that my first problem was associated with me resuming the download of IG posts which were added to download list long time ago, which probably has attempted to access links with expired links, which triggered bot detection of Instagram and caused these problems.

I'm not saying that you're lying but I can't believe that none of the other open source projects have worked for you.
While I did not test any of them, the famous project "Instaloader" is still maintained to this day so I suppose it will work.

Sure it will. All I wanted to say is that I will not be putting any time to play cat & mouse games with Instagram: If they do actively detect- and block us, that's it.

About the problem:
At this moment, our Instagram plugin is still working fine here, tested in logged-in-mode by downloading 300 media items of a public profile.

- Example URLs (= URLs to profiles & posts you want to download)
- A debug-log

If your bugreport is about a specific website which JD supports via plugin, please also provide example URLs which can be used to reproduce the issue you are having.

Yes, this was one of many programs I tried to use with no luck. It managed to download around 100 images, before it started to throw errors, despite me properly following the guides and trying to get around the problems with advises from Issues section on Github.

I'm not sure if I worded my previous reply properly, but I meant that currently it's working fine with a newly created account.

Today I even had no "Login cookies expired" issues so far, despite having them happen multiple times in the first day I tried downloading with cookies from a newly created account.

I guess providing the information won't be helpful for bug fixing since it's fixed now with a new account ?

Okay then you might want to report the problems you experienced here:
github.com/instaloader/instaloader/issues
Without feedback, the developers of said software may not be aware of the issues you've experienced and might be unable to fix them.
