The icons and such just look like the default theme, JD_PLAIN as the best icon visuals. This has happened before psp has to fix something.
Here a log w debug but dont see what it will show
25.04.23 13.44.31 <--> 25.04.23 13.42.54 jdlog://6494311370661/

@MrGonzo: I'm not able to reproduce the issue. Default and JD-PLAIN are two different themes here and also no changes from our side.
Can you please provide a screenshot of about dialog? and screenshot what the theme/JDownloader looks like?

According to log, the default theme is selected

Please check what theme is selected in settings

What happened was I had an issue with a JD2 update and had to reinstall...JD2 now says Im running the most current core version as of 04/27/23. But ever since this update the JD_PLAIN theme's icons look all messed up, they used to be much slicker (its why I like this theme)
Like I said an issue like this has happened before, and Raz or Psp had to fix something. But currently the icons and general UI look like the boring default theme. The biggest noticable icons difference is all the icons for all hosts (ie RG, uptobox, fastfile) look different then before...the "update" icon looks different, like the basic icons for it.

I cant give you a pic of the way JD_PLAIN used to look for me, I have nothing to go on anymore. All I know is JD_PLAIN UI icons and file host icons look all different now since most recent update(04/27/21).

But heres a log if itll help:
27.04.23 21.43.02 <--> 27.04.23 21.38.20 jdlog://9994311370661/

Yes, that time there was indeed a change, a bug and a fix required. But this time there was no change at all.

JDownloader downloads the favicons whenever required. they are not part of JDownloader/updates and are downloaded by JDownloader itself. The next explains it.

And that explains it all
You did reinstall JDownloader and with that deleted your existing/downloaded favicons AND theme. JDownloader might still show JD_PLAIN as selected theme but as it's no longer available (deleted by yours), JDownloader falls back to default theme.
Solution: switch the theme back to default, restart, and once again switch to JD_PLAIN. The *theme installation routine* is only triggered on theme change. JDownloader will download the favicons automatically over the time

Update:
Notice....I just tried what u suggested...switching back to "default" theme, restarted JD2, switched it back to JD_PLAIN...the hosts icons have seemed to switch back to normal, but the JD2 UI "play" button icon(s) and the update "globe" still looks like default theme.
The font and scale seem messed up too. the font also used to look more clear and bold...the font now seems a little faded,
New log w debug:
29.04.23 23.45.36 <--> 29.04.23 23.43.34 jdlog://8305311370661/
