Small issue with Empty subfolders that are created for package
I use packagizer rule to create subfolder for a package. It works fine with just a small issue. It also creates this subfolders even when there are errors and download can't start for some reason (traffic limit, hoster error, etc). I recently had a situation with few hundred of empty folders mixed with normal ones because one hoster had some problem. Can you change it so it will only create folder when file is actually downloading?

This is not yet supported
It's not a minor change as this requires changes in download/mirror handling and file exists handling. In meantime you could make use of eventscripter to *cleanup* empty folders easily, check https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=70525 and/or ask mgpai for help. He is our script master!

"Create Folder Trigger" should have a "download starts" option
Hello,
in the Advanced Settings, "GeneralSettings: Create Folder Trigger" has two options: "When the download is attempted to get started" and "When the links are added to the downloadlist". Please add an option "When the download actually starts (i.e. when a file is created)". Otherwise I constantly fight with a mess of unwanted empty folders. Many downloads are attempted to get started but don't start (for example due to host downtime, missing accounts, outdated account cookies, broken/outdated plugins, download limits, etc.). I would like to keep those links in the downloadlist, so that I have an overview regarding for what files I should search for alternative mirrors and what the planned package name and download location were, or what host accounts I should add. Or so that those downloads can start when those plugins get updated or when download limits end. Finding and disabling (and later re-enabling) each such link in the list would take a lot of time, would require me to manually check whether plugins got updated, and it would mess up how I normally use the disable flag. There are programs that automatically repeatedly delete empty folders, but they can't reliably distinguish between unwanted and wanted empty folders. Thank you! |
