Flickr
Until yesterday, I was able to update JD regularly, confident that my Flickr downloading would continue without a hitch.
Yesterday my JD was updated to #634, and now my download attempts from password protected Flickr sites produces nothing and I am forced to select "Add new links", whereupon I eventually get only one file which is marked as an "offline file". I notice too that the Link Path is truncated when displayed in LinkGrabber, reflecting only the last sub-folder in the path. However, when accessing a more Public (no password protect) site, almost immediately on placing the URL into Clipboard, files are added to LinkGrabber in the same manner as has been the case until this latest JD update -- even with the full URL details being displayed. Is there somewhere I can restore a version of JD which is prior to this latest update please? PS --- In desperation I did a full uninstall/reinstall with the latest version, but this made no difference, the situation is still as reported. I'm running Win7 64Bit SP1 and Version 57.0.2 FireFox Quantum |

If you provide example link + pw, we will adjust the plugin.

Life would be so much easier if I could just go back to an earlier version.
No disrespect intended but, providing a link and a PASSWORD which would allow unfettered access to a commercial site, exposing the private/personal content of hundreds of individuals without their knowledge or permission, especially when requested to send it via a public Forum --- I think not. (Nor would I send the details by Private Messenger either.) I cannot believe there is no way this "blip" can be sorted without those requirements being provided, so I shall hope for ideas from others. |

in respects to our flickr plugins (7 and 9 months without change) so going back wont fix anything as nothing has changed. Yet stuff can change at any point in time on the websites side. We need users to report issues (like you have) and provide the information required in order to fix said issue. If you are unwilling to provide that information then the issue goes unresolved. The choice is entirely yours.

As you say -- the choice is entirely mine.
A choice which would involve betraying the trust of many in favour of providing access to information which, I feel certain, Developers of similar applications have little difficulty in acquiring in their own right?? -- Not really a choice. The issue, therefore, must go unresolved. PS --- I accept things change on websites but, from a fully working version one minute, to a partially working version (literally) just seconds after an upgrade ?????? For me, that's too much of a coincidence as to point anywhere other than to the upgrade being at fault. |

as stated the flickr plugins have not changed for months, so yes total coincidence. either you believe it or you don't. I told you the facts that those specific plugins have not changed in that timeframe. JDownloader has core updates (which you get notified of) and plugin updates which you do not get notified of (update and installs silently without requirement of client restart).
you can give the specific url with password otherwise we can't fix, else the only other solution is for you to create album with password, try and reproduce the issue, and you can give us those details of that test url&pass. The later is a lot more work on your part and most people do not have the ability todo that on paid services (services which require payment in order to upload content). raztoki

Well I suppose the coincidence, or not, will just remain one of those "never proven" things in life although, after a very considerable number of years working with computers, I know where my money would be put.
Although not subject to any disability or time constraints in the use of my Internet services, I shall not be setting up a temporary album. How could I be sure I was reproducing the "problem", were I to set up an album on my Flickr Account using my own images, especially in regard to the security and sharing configuration used by other sites, particularly as it is that area which is causing the problem(s) ? |

We are not talking about other sites right?, assumption made in my original response due to the screen shots showing flickr. Other sites should not cause issue with dedicated plugins. Not unless something like a referrer (sharing configuration) is required and I don't believe that would be the case with flickr.
If you change your mind email support@jdownloader.org with those details. raztoki
