Please add an Undo option
I have had so many likeups with JD in my entire life but just now thought that if an Undo option would be available those mistakes could be easily fixable.
An option that could undo things like:
Of course I'm not referring to multilevel as I supposed that would be more computer power consuming but a 1 level undo would be fantastic. |

This is not going to be implemented any time in the near future.
Here is a related ticket: -psp-

Those are not that easy and require more work/planning, see comments:
Rename in Downloadlist might also rename the file/folder on disk. But should be achievable when really only the name of the last changed package/link is meant. Change in Downloadlist might also result in move/change of files/folders on disk But should be achievable when same constraints as above. This would require the complete list to be saved in before state so it could be restored. Amount of work depends on download list/linkgrabber list This would require the complete list to be saved in before state so it could be restored. But there are ideas to create sort of *trash* package, see

Maybe you can explain what kind of problems you have? It helps to understand the needs and what the best/easiest solutions would be.

What I was referring to is the LinkGrabber list, I reckon that changes in the Downloads list would be very difficult as there you have to deal with real files. Quote:
All my "problems" (I wouldn't call it that as they were all my fault) come from, well, my own stupidity. There have been countless times where I only wanted to change the download directory for a bunch of packages and instead I picked "Mote to new package" instead, other times I deleted some packages (with DEL key, I always delete with the key) when I didn't intend to and I had to search for the links (as they were in the LinkGrabber for long time), and so on. Thanks for taking the time to read this post guys. |

@lamole234: Thanks for the feedback. Just a *workaround* for accidentally deleted links, see
https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...nkgrabber-list you can drag/drop /load container those .zip files from cfg folder. select the previous one and then it will import all links into list. It's an import and no merge/replace. So either you clear the list complete and then delete the complete zip or import and then remove the unwanted double content a *trash* for deleted links is on my todo list for *easy* restore.

Action History Tab
Would like a history tab that displays actions taken place such as any changes ie renames or Linkcollection processes that has taken place and would be saved in a table before the process starts. I would ideally be able to undo those changes or repeat any Linkcollection that may not have finished or I would want to redo later on in the future.
Every now and then a problem would occur where the program would crash or just freeze until I'd be forced to close it through task manager. This would essentially end any Linkcollection process that was happening. |

JDownloader should not crash at all and not freeze to be killed via task manager. This sounds like your JDownloader/java runs out of memory. Can you please provide a screenshot of your about dialog?

It's very likely a memory issue but in this recent case, it is running fine but Linkcollector wasn't working and nothing was being downloaded for quite some time. I'm fairly sure it's to do with a link that 404'd before it could download as it has happened before but without Linkcollector freezing.
Here's the log. 05.09.22 21.50.50 <--> 05.09.22 23.11.01 jdlog://9079211370661/ |

@RedNapalm: I need screenshot of running JDownloader about dialog, as it shows the current memory stats. the log does not show that the about dialog shows memory current usage/current allocation and max.

@RedNapalm:Thanks for the screenshot. how much system memory do you have?
I'm sorry but JDownloader does not have any support to save/resume linkcrawling jobs and there are no plans for such a feature. That's why I said Quote:

It's on a cheap box with 8 gigs. The last time I had an issue with it, some parts of it could still function but linkcollector or downloading wouldn't work and I had to restart it.

I would recommend to increase max heap to 4gb, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...vmoptions-file create a .vmoptions file with -Xmx4g

Suggestion : Undo on delete Linkgrabber list
Hi guys,
I'm generally relatively careful, but it happened twice in recent months that I cleared my Linkgrabber list and as it vanished, I saw something I *wanted* among the dozens of links grabbed from here and there - but there is no undoing that delete command, sadly. Could we have a control-z undo, please? Citadin |

Merged same topic threads.
This feature will not be added any time soon. Here are your current (workaround) options:

Makes sense that if it's done yet, it's difficult. My linkcollector zip was too large to be useful, so I'll start a new one. Thanks for the tip, though, I'll keep an eye on the future one.

Another small heads up:
One of the next major updates will contain a new optional feature which can optionally display a confirmation dialog when moving more than <userDefined> number of packages/links to downloadlist, see: https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=94447 -> See "Preview-Changelog" That may be helpful for you though this is designed to happen on move to downloadlist action not on clear linkgrabberlist action. Apart from confirmation dialogs, there is no other possible solution I can present to you right now other than maybe the hint for you to frequently create backups of your linkcollectorlistXXX.zip files using any external backup application.

i was thinking about option like this too. so when you reset more than "user defined" packages in the downloads tab at the same time, jd ask "are you sure about that?" because resetting imidiately delete all downloaded files. and i always afraid that i accidetnly mark all download list because of keybord smash or mouse drag and delete all my download folder. and i know that there is confirmation dialog on reset by default, but i disabled it because i reset a lot, because of internet problems or hosts problems )) i reset a lot, but not more than one package at a time

I'm sorry but I will not add confirmation dialogs for all kinds of actions since this would then be just a workaround for the "missing undo".
Regarding the reset action: That should already always display a confirmation dialoge. As explained, with EventScripter scripts you should already be able to e.g. display a warning dialog for a user defined action if more than X packages and Y total items are selected. EventScripter forum thread: https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=70525 EventScripter help article: https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...event-scripter
