Default Can not run/uninstall JD

Hello there,

I installed Jdownloader 2 for Windows 10. When I want to run it the attached error message appears (and it even does not allow me to uninstall JD).

Thank you very much for any idea/help.

JD can not write to "C:\Program Files", so please move it to another location.

THANK you very much! That was it.

One more question please ... how to uninstall it from "C:\Program Files"? When I try it gives back the error message too.

Thank you once more in advance.

JD is portable, uninstall is not necessary. If you still have it in "C:\Program Files", you can just delete it.

Thank you.

What I did is I installed JD once more to suggested path (it works now) and then I deleted the JD files from "C:\Program Files".

Is it OK, will there be no junk left in registry? Because now I see those 2 installations in "Control panels - programs".

You will have to manually check this.
You can also manually delete these old entries from "Installed programs".

Please also note that it is a myth that unused registry entries would slow down your computer: They don't.

eg. file associations
