Default Sudden slow download speeds

I've been running JDownloader (updated) for a few hours today without
any problems, until I noticed that my download speeds were just a few
KiB/s. A Speedtest on my windows 7 PC gave excellent results, so no
problems there. I rebooted my Moden, and closed/restarted JD, but still
no luck. I've attached a screenshot for additional info, but I've never had this
before. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Default Discovered the reason!

I discovered that in Settings, the Speed Limit was 'ticked' at 10KB/s.
Removing the tick restored the speed of the downloads within seconds. That's strange, as I've not deliberately tinkered with this, but I'm pleased that everything is back to normal.

@waterspout: Maybe you've clicked pause button by accident, see

I have same problem before. Now it SOLVED! Just check in your "Download" tabs, in the bottom corner, there is a little "Setting" icons. Click on that and uncheck the Speed Limit!

You 're welcome!

PS: Sorry for my english!

funfuxx: I had completely forgotten about this thread, as everything has been ok since. I've just checked the Speed limit setting and it's unchecked.

Currently, since re-installing JDownloader, I have been unable to disable the setting to not put each download into a separate package.

I've gone though all your suggestions/settings and they're all correct.
But it's still doing it!

You're downloading from youtube, and as jDownloader has a dedicated plugin for youtube, it has its own settings.
Go to Settings -> Plugins (icon left) -> enter "youtube" -> check the option "Channel/Playlist crawler group mode" and switch it to "Put all videos in one package"

Current log as requested. The download links are in Linkgrabber but, as yet, I haven't downloaded the files. They're just examples of them being put in individual folders.

By folders, do you mean "individual packages" or do you also mean that they are being downloaded in a separate subfolder for each package?

Again: Please provide example URLs.
EDIT

Also, how do you add those links?
Via Clipboard observation or via Linkgrabber tab -> Add links

All the urls are being grouped into separate packages in the Linkgrabber list, instead of one folder for all. What I then do is to drag all the folders into one.

Sorry, I missed that bit. I copy links to the Clipboard, then Linkgrabber tab -> Paste links.

So you always want to put all added items in one package with the same name regardless of how they added or whether or not the resulting items would usually be grouped into a separate package?

There is no simple setting which will do this but it is possible.
There are at least two ways to accomplish this:
  1. Only add links via "add links" dialog which lets you pre-define a package name. Do not add links via clipboard observation.
  2. and/or: Create a Packagizer rule which will force-move all items you add into one package. Screenshot:

Once created, all newly added items will go into a package named "MyBasePackage".
The advantage here: This will work globally, also for items added via clipboard observation.

I've never had problems with Packages in the past, I've definitely not needed to create specific rules for them. Say I clicked on 6 Youtube links, right-click on each of them/copy link. Then all the links are in the JD Linkgrabber list under one package. But not, as they are now, with 6 packages listed.

Either we're talking past each other or I got no clue how you got that previous behavior.
Feel free to use the methods I've explained to you or rephrase what you want.

@waterspout:
1.) do you recall the name of the package that collected all the links? was it "various files"?
2.) when you added yt links, did you get multiple results (video audio subtitle..) or just one video link?

We're trying to understand what/how you did customize your JDownloader because default handling is complete different.
Maybe you have copy/backups of old installation, so we could check the configuration of it?

Possibly 'various Files' but I'm not exactly sure.

Multiple results (video, audio, subtitle)

No backups unfortunately. In practice I've never found it necessary.
I only uninstalled/reinstalled JD because it wouldn't launch and displayed a message about Java being missing or something.

Depending on filesystem/OS , maybe worth a try to use undelete tools and try to rescue previous configuration

@waterspout: I'm not able to reproduce the outcome by simple doing/chaning nothing, but you can
1.) either disable all existing packagizer rules and create new one and tell JDownloader to move all links into one single package
or
2.) for youtube, go to Settings->Plugins->youtube.com and clear/empty the name scheme for packages and disable Packagizer completely, see Setttings->Advanced Settings->PackagizerSettings.packagizerenabled
There are many ways to achieve this, and we don't know how you did setup your JDownloader but definitely this won't work out of the box as it's not default behaviour
