Default JD window not visible, stays minimized in task bar

Hi there,

it might be connected to the most recent Java Update 25, but I suddenly cannot open the JD window anymore, it's in the task bar and downloading, and it's possible to maximize it via Alt-Space, but nothing happens when clicking on the task bar window. What happend? Guess only a re-install might help?

Thanks for your help!

The problem is this file:
JDownloader\cfg\org.jdownloader.settings.GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.lastframestatus.json

Close JD and delete the file or edit the file.

When edit, enter 0 for the red marked text, save and start JD again.

Did you close JD complete before deleting the file?

Fixed.

If you are affected, There are a few easy steps to fix this:
  1. Don't Panic
  2. Open JDownloader
  3. Wait a few minutes. JD will load the latest Updates in the Background
  4. Exit JD (Tray, rightclick in the Taskbar, Taskmanager, Shutdown PC,...whatever)
  5. Restart JDownloader. The UPdates will get installed.
  6. Enjoy

Alternatively, just delete JDownloader\cfg\org.jdownloader.settings.GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.lastframestatus.json

Assuming they don't have auto updates disabled

if so...

close jd
open cmd
goto the install directory
java -jar JDownloader.jar -forceupdate
