Sav links with or without passwords ?
hello.
i often use jd, i try to learn to use it and i think i win many hours/months.! i used to save my link with passwords but last time i saved it deleting "the jddefault " password given, so i let the text/password 'blank'; so, each time i launched the JD, it was still downloading my list but i had to reopen an old list and now i can't open my "main list". i see why, the list saved without passwords is a zero octet file .x):dots: SO, i search over your forum and internet but didn't find a solution to reopen maybe this huge list. What about the temp files located in the "programfiles\jdownloader\container\" ? can i open them ? i think they have a password too but, i don't know this one. any help can be great, i'm waiting, thanks ! the container saving contains a bug we are still trying to find. i'm sorry for your loss of the links. i suggest to just backup your config folder that contains all data of jdownloader.
do this when jdownloader is closed and just create a copy of config folder. you can try to open the container files with linkgrabber-add container or try to restore a backup by unzipping a zipfile from backup folder back to config folder. (warning: will overwrite current config)

thanks for the answer,
the first solution you gave can not work because the only link (containers)) i have is a temp ".jdc." located in the container folder of the program, it's crypted...i think it's the good container because it has exactly the good date but it's crypted. The second solution you gave me was strange but i did it and it worked !! !!! !!! you saved me and i think this tips will save me more than one time . Thanks for saving my links ! thanks for the tip! congratulations ! Choc' |

at the moment you can't! this is because of a bug. I'm sorry for this. the jdc format will no longer be supproted with next major version. you should try to restore backups from backup folder.
