Default Data Sent to Jdownloader is encrypted or not

Sir/Ma'am,

I use JDownloader 2.0.
USe Avira phantom VPN to get links from various sites. I understand that data is encrypted and beyond reach of my ISP.

These links/generated links are then pasted to JDownloader for download.
Are these links exposed to my ISP or these links are encrypted by Jdownloader during downloads.

Can my ISP get the links downloaded from JDownloader ? or these are encrypted/safe?

Please comment.

VPN's typically wrap the connection in some secure socket layer. They do this by changing your systems default network gateway so all traffic on your computer is ported over VPN. Your ISP shouldn't be able to see what's happens as all traffic will be crypted (assuming you're not using some vulnerable crypto method).

Typically what's not safe in respects to VPN, is that when a connection issue happens, it drops VPN connectivity and then fails over to your ISP. When this happens everything reverts, then goes via your ISP.

Thanks Raztoki.. That clear a lot of things but needs following clarifications:
1. I Use Avira phantom VPN.
2. I use Alldebrid for link generation which dont support VPN so I made a virtual machine in my PC Win10x64 and install VPN in virtual machine.
3. I roam in some sites in VPN (virtual machine) and post these links for downloads on JDownloader (copy/paste) which is installed in host.
4. I am not opening any webpage in host machine. Just copy/paste links from guest to host for Jdownloader.
5. I cant use JDownloader as alldebrid blocks downloading under VPN.
6. Am I vulnerable to my ISP even if i am not opening webpages on my host (non-vpn) and opening pages in guest(vpn) and using copy/paste methods from guest to host only for Jdownloader download queue.

regards

@sanyad
since you are sharing the clipboard I assume? and placing the links on the non VPN machine, it could leak. As JD linkchecks on it's own using the real file/video host provider website or API this may or may not be done with HTTPS.

You could alternatively turn off clipboard monitoring in JDownloader, generate the links yourself on alldebrid website, then copy the generated link(s), go back to jd and use the add links dialog box, and paste them manually, it would not leak the real url. JD would still linkcheck via the alldebrid plugin, just note that jd can't generate a new link for you since you did it yourself. If the generated link expires then you wont be able to resume.

Default Do all download traffic through JDownloader 2 is encrypted

jd2 is a very nice piece of software. I am using VPN and afraid if the download through JDownloader leaking my download infos i.e. download sites / links etc.. Is every bit of data through JDownloader 2 encrypted? Encrypted means do my ISP knows what I download once I paste and download links through JDownloader 2?

I've answered this question already, why ask the exact question again?

When using a VPN, traffic will go through that VPN. Your ISP will see the VPN Traffic.
