on new.reddit, the same post (**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**) has dead imgur link. but regular reddit has video available somehow. may be that is causing the issue

For JD it doesn't make a difference since it is using this reddit API:

reddit.com/comments/15.../.json

Next update will always auto-crawl both, the imgur- and the internal reddit selfhosted video/photo items.

Thanks for the update. There is just 2 minor issues.
1st, jdownloader is giving same name to videos with different quality. For example, with this link **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** , jdownloader tries to download 2 files with the same name, resulting in skipping one of them. The better version of that video can be found on the link above and the bad one can be found in **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** .
2nd, jdownloader only fetches 720p version of the better version of the video even though the post has higher resolution video.

@manishxcx: actual the smaller filesize has the better quality, as it's the original mp4, while the larger file is a gif convert with worse quality.
the 720p is actual the best version. the gif might have higher resolution, but it is lower quality and is just an upscale of the 720p mp4

Update: you are right, the new domain does provide 1080p mp4 while www only provides 720p. we will look into this
Update2: the domain doesn't matter, the 1080p version is not included in mpd file but at different fallback position

Next update will also find the higher quality, but you will have to re-add the links

-the higher quality will be found
-the same name will be resolved to .gif.mp4 as the source for the mp4 is the gif version and signal this in filename
