Lightbulb Rapidgator HTTPS request

A lot of file host sites are banned in India already - including depositfiles, ul.to. luckyshare, k2s etc, I am expecting rapidgator to be banned too in a few days. Requesting a HTTPS option for RG for that very reason .

Info on host blocks here - http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=58172

adding https doesn't magically add support for Indian users.

most sites for example, depositfiles offer https, but the final link is not https, which means you've wasted either money on premium or time on free download routine.

When you can insure to us that finallinks are not blocked, as in can be downloaded with https, we will slowly add support for link automatic link correction to https (as plugin setting). We do not have the time or energy to do all this testing ourselves. Many of our plugins support HTTPS already, you just have to import https link into jdownloader. Though I would advise to test in your normal browser!

hi raztoki

Depositfiles has been blocked for months now and the only way to access is https which was added on request after the block. I have a yearly premium on DF and the links work fine, both in browser and JD if https is used. Same for uploaded.to (blocked same time as DF) and luckyshare.net which was blocked recently. That's the reason I was requesting for a HTTPS update to RG plugin because it seems ISPs cant mess with HTTPS.

Also, they don't block the generated link urls, only main domain url is blocked, so the http premium link generated by DF works fine without the HTTPS.

Here is the DF and UL.to HTTPS request thread, they work great after the HTTPS was added to the plugin

Thanks for taking a look.

standalone, I'm fully aware of that thread and many others. Though from I've experienced it's not always the case. I've tested on Indian system with teamviewer, they block finallinks that are of domain or sub.domain of blocked domain that are not https.

As I requested in my original response, can you confirm you can download via browser. Can you exchange all rapidgator links to https, also please test if you can replace "**External links are only visible to Support Staff** with "**External links are only visible to Support Staff** on the finallink. Carry out test for premium download method and free download method.

Hello

I logged into RG using their https login, pasted a link in the browser from the same page using https, it gave me a http download link with '**External links are only visible to Support Staff** as the prefix which was downloadble via the browser.

I also tried the same with Luckyshare.net and Depositfiles, both logins via https, the final link generated is http, however they had prefixes just like Rapidgator and even though the http is blocked, I was able to download the files via browser. It seems adding a prefix overrides the ban or the subdomains aren't banned.

Another thing I noticed about the domain ban is that I can view thumbnails from imagebam which have 'thumbnail.imagebam.com/...' address but cant actually click and view the full images at imagebam.com as it falls under a blocked domain!

I hope that helps clarify the process

Cheers
