It minimizes multiple times a day though. Are that many updates being triggered? Still don't see why it would be minimized on restart if it wasn't minimized before. So, please adjust is so that doesn't happen. Hopefully it only does this when all downloads are idle. I usually hide my apps instead of minimizing. Also is there an option for it to alert you of an update rather than automatically restarting.

You may be right though since I see these lines in the console:

The password issue was with a 4 or 5 letter password on a file with about a dozen parts, some of which had to be reset numerous times due to a bad hosting web site. The downloads were stopping unfinished and it didn't support resume so it never started those links back up without resetting them.

I have had other odd issues after resetting links (multiple mirrors starting to download the same file at the same time after reset), so maybe this is just another.

Can people please make new threads about individual issues. It makes it really hard to process bugs/issues when we have generalised thread, that's mixed up with many different questions or opinions. We need to identify issues quickly and process them accordingly. It makes our life so much easier if you don't combine issues of no relation within one thread.

This is not aimed at any one individual.

Thankyou.

@kdean:
There are MANY Updates in this beta. Plugin Updates are done silently without any restart.
Core Updates however need a restart.

While having many coreupdates/day in the beta, the stable will not be update so often.
However, we can add an option to hide instead of minimize the window.

Why do we Hide at all after restart?
The restarted Window would popup on top - even if jd has not been the active window. This would be a FAIL ;-P
