First test your account in your browser. If your password contains special characters, please change it.

Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

Then remove your account, restart jD, and add the account again.

If this wouldn't work, please provide a complete and detailed log.

Cool

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

If you get "No permissions to write to hard disk", please read about connection problems and their solutions.

If you can download the links with your browser something is blocking jD or your jD is not up to date.

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

3) Restart jD twice.

4) Exit jD and launch jdupdate.jar in your jD program folder.

That link works fine. If you can download it with your browser something is blocking jD or your jD is not up to date.

I agree with you. I never had problem with fileserve before with JD and this problem only arose 2 days ago. I tried with all my browsers too and the downloads stopped after several mins. Downloading files from other sites on JD are perfect though. And i also dont think the problem lies with my firewall or anti-virus software. Hopefully Fileserve get their act together soon.

If fileserve continues to add bugs and problems (and new error messages) instead of fixing them they will soon lose users.
I really liked their support.
They were always friendly and so but well...knowing about bugs and not fixing them isn't very nice.
Especially when then need over a year to fix known bugs.

Can you download those files with your browser when you're experiencing that problem?

Also read post #1095.

Test whether you can download these links in your browser.

If you can download them with your browser something is blocking jD or your jD is not up to date.

Your log contains "existing jD instance found!". This means jD is already running and you can't launch a second instance of the same program from the same folder.

Doesn't matter, just download till the limit is reached.

@Rocky
You can't resume downloads from fileserve as a freeuser!

I do not belong to the official jD support team and can't analyse your log, but if you did everything I recommended in post #1105, it should work.

If it doesn't work, un-install your virus software, restart your computer and test again. You might need special un-install tools and registry cleaners.

If you've a firewall in your router you can un-install your PC's firewall as well.

I also experience the download fail in the middle. I think it is not a old problem... It start to happen with today or yesterday's download. I believe it is related to the new "daily download limit is reached" problem. Why I think it is related is because each time I have a abrupt disconnection from them, I cannot download again right away. It will give me the "daily limit reach" error (even in the web page) so I know it must be because of that, my last download failed.

I am wondering whether they just cut your connection abruptly when you reach their daily limit. IF they do so, then it really suck.

It's not an issue with JD. I confirmed the latest update works wonder. Only concern I have, it is waiting 2 hours (if I remembered correctly) for retry. Will it clear the daily limit after 2 hours? Otherwise it might fail again...

Update: I confirm that 2 hours of waiting time did not solve the problem. It is still showing the daily limit there. Anyone know how long we need to wait until the next download? 1 day?
