Default Exclude All Files of a Certain File Type from Linkcrawler

Hello. I use Jdownloader2 in a Raspberry Pi. Video links from different sites are sent to it from a browser in a PC. The videos are usually downloaded correctly, but there are other files included, like JPG, OGG, JS, and many small ones.

Is there a way to automatically remove or exclude them from files to be downloaded? Or is there a way to download only certain file types from any site? For example, only files with the extension

RAR
ZIP
7Z
MP4
MKV
SRT

will be downloaded from any site.

I saw a LinkCrawler: Link Crawler Rules option in the advanced settings, and I looked at other threads and one help document explaining how to make a rule, but I'm having difficulty coming up with one because I'm not a programmer.

Thank you for your help.

@danzig: sounds like you're adding unsupported URLs and JDownloader deepdecrypt those and adds everything it can find.
You can:
1.) add a LinkCrawler rule that matches your URLs and teach/tell JDownloader in what content/links you are interested in, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...kcrawler-rules
2.) setup LinkFilter in Settings->Linkgrabber Filter, best would be to do this in JDownloader with GUI and later copy/paste the filters via Settings->Advanced Settings->LinkFilterSettings.filterlist

Can you provide example links? then we can better provide help/support

Thank you. I will have to figure out the linkcrawler rules because I want to set this up for any site. That is, just remove any file that's smaller than a certain size, probably even after downloading.

@danzig: In that case you should go for LinkFilter rules and filter out all images or only allow certain file types.
You can also setup filters that use file size for condition

Thanks for the help. I will try the linkfilter rules option first, and will provide example links if that doesn't work. For now, I think it's just a matter of using "true" or "false" to toggle various file types in the rules box. I hope I got that right.

@danzig: in your case you can enable archive file types, video and additional a custom one with the subtitle extension

Apparently, there's no GUI for linkfilter rules in the docker version of Jdownloader, so I downloaded a Windows desktop version, set the rules there, exported the rules, then copied and pasted them to the rules box.

Thanks!
