Default downloads arent completing

downloads get about 25-75% done and then "time out" or say "waiting for reconnect". not all downloads but a substantial number of them. anyone know a fix? or some say "connect: waiting for reconnect: connect". im obviously connected to the internet still since im typing on this forum...

some other downloads just stop with no message

dont have any firewalls on right now, i have been using norton but it acuses everything of being a virus so i turn it off if it gets annoying.

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

3) Disable the Automatic Reconnect feature.

If this doesn't work please provide example links and a complete and detailed log.

Turning norton off is not an option it will still keep causing issues with java. Enable it and configure properly or remove it with the nortons removal tool provided on its main site.
