Default Trying to obtain the max dwnload speed

I have cable Broadband Internet connection about 25 mb/sec. My download speed is 2 to 3 megs max. And I want to know if the default settings for the program being (2 for max con, 2 speed and 0 for unlimited connection speed) can be adjusted to get a better speed, could my speed increase to lets say 5 or 10 MB/Sec.

I think it's bits vs bytes. 25 Mbits/s = 25/8 MBytes/s, so 3MB/s is nearly max.

Cool

Now that you know the difference between bits and bytes, see also "Optimizing your number of connections".

Note that speed also depends on the host you're downloading from.
Also its a difference weather you're a free- or a premiumuser.
