AVG? Windoze? I can't know based on these limited data.

What about a complete and detailed log?

Can you read the log?

Sorry. It's 4 minutes actually.

I use dual boot. In the other Windows XP, JD only takes 30 seconds to start.

I use JRE 6.21 in both Windows XP.

Hello, just joined Forum. jD >>>>>> Magnificent app!!!!

Mac OS 10.6.7: Latest jD.

Yes, AntiVirus ... No problems then installed Sophos Free (ClamXAV no problem) and jD takes minutes to start. Stop Sophos, no problemo. Also jD uses 100% CPU when starting until I made it 32 bit.

So far no crashes, no problems, just 'Blazingly Fast' and eats all other DL Managers!

HTH

@lorotelu

Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

You can also try launching jD with the jdupdate.jar file that you'll find in the jD program folder.

Wait for a jD programmer to analyse your log. Thanks.

Go to [your jd programmfolder]/jd/
Delete the "plugins" folder.
Restart JD, let it update, restart it->Should be faster now!
