make sure firewall / antivirus software isn't messing with JDownloader.

with adding account type error, you will need to enable debug mode (see advanced, once debug log is enabled, restart, add account back, on failure upload new session log) as its not logged.

downloading errors are logged when exceptions are thrown. oboom seems to be having some teething problems in the last day or so. API / Download server fail due to stress.

I am having the same problem, and i dont know how to freakin enable debug mode. I find that a really stupid and not helpful answer to a problem that many of us are having. I for one have no firewall on, and I can download from uploaded with no problem. the problem with OBOOM must be somewhere else.

If it is working for you, dont just say it is......TELL US HOW YOU FREAKIN SET IT UP TO WORK....Does it have something to do with oboom using email address for accountname, and not having an account number perhaps?

I aint usin JD2, i'm usin JD. There aint no advanced in the settings that has anything to do with log that i can find.

I dont seem to see anywhere that the original poster said he was using JD2 either???????

I can download from my uploaded premium account, my share-online.biz premium account, and even download 1 file an hour from OBOOM when no account is there.

As soon as I add my OBOOM premium account, the OBOOM downloads dont do anything, until I force the download, and then they just stay at connecting.

however again I send, because the issue that opened this thread persists and I suspect must be the plugin, because after making the first shock of the links oboom.com reconnects successfully, but when trying to download again free mode , says there is an error: file not found.

hello, thanks for your help in the end you solved the problem

I know that getting any information from you about the right settings, since it obviously works for you, but could you just nod your head if I'm doing things right here with the username/password thing for OBOOM.

Username is Email Address, Password i a NumberLetter Combination.

I read in an old post somewhere that someone had to use his account number instead of his account name to get jdownloader to make the connection.

I was wondering if this program was written only to accept account numbers for User names or some dumb thing like that. OBOOM dont have account numbers....at least any i can find.

So..In my settings tab there is General...with no advanced part, just logging level, update and clicknload settings....

Then there is Download and Connections which does have an advanced part, but that just has reconnetion IP-Check and File Writing settins.

After that there is User Interface, with an advanced part that contains, Container and SpeedMeter settings

Then there is Modules and Plugins & Add-ons both of which have no advanced settings.


So where the devil should this Advanced with debug setting be?

Falls der Log-Tab nicht sichtbar ist, gehe auf → ? (Menü) → Log.
Wähle im sich öffnenden Tab → Log hochladen.
Gib in den nachfolgenden Feldern Deinen Nicknamen und eine kurze Fehlerbeschreibung ein.

It doesn't work for me. I get "Plugin error (out of date)". I never get sizes for the oboom files. Here's logs which seem to suggest that it's choking on a null pointer:

Could you please check in JD2?

If JD2 can be installed alongside JD 0.9.whatever, sure. If not, then it'll take more work at my end since I'm not the only user.

Does this break for anyone else? I'm running MacOS 10.8 with Apple's Java 6, using a proxy. I haven't had issues with other plugins.

I know we are still waiting on updates but thought I should throw this into the pool also.

The DL works fine in the web browser, have to wait for countdown, and enter captcha but in JD ... nada ... first it never searches web site links for availability which in turn doesn't give a file size, site never checked message.
Then when I decide to try it anyway it does see something but always returns Hoster problem, while at the same time I can go to the link via the web browser from JD and the DL works fine.

You can use both JD. In the case of Windows JD2 uses a different folder to install JD2, not sure If in MacOS is the same. However if it doesn't, you can change the destination folder of JD2.

On Mac, JD2 also can be installed in a different folder than /Applications (the default Mac location, more-or-less) without causing issues with a JD1 install in /Applications.

The oboom plugin seems to work for me with JD2.

Having said that, JD2 is different than JD1 in a lot of ways, and I haven't figured out how to configure JD2 quite like I had JD1. So, if there was something particular to a configuration choice, that might account for things.

Does anyone see oboom working with JD1?

oboom will never work well with earlier versions of JDownloader, because they are using custom browser response codes as error codes. This does not vode well for older versions of JDownloader. If they do not change how there site works, we will have to disable oboom in JD1.
