Default JDownloader + Flashgot + Youtube = No Go

Hello,

I've been using a combination of Jdowloader and flashgot for quite some time and it always worked great, even for downloading youtube videos.

I only had to click on the flashgot icon, select the youtube video (i.e. the resolution) and voilá, JDownloader automatically grabbed the link and downloaded the clip (despite renaming it as "videoplayback).

However, I recently formated my harddrive and installed the more recent JDownloader version and, since then, I'm having some problems: JDownloader now always reports "File Not Found" for YT movies. However if I redirect Flashgot to the browser downloader manager, that download manager is able to find and effectively download the movie.

Any hints on this? Thanks.

I tested several links, and works fine (flashgot and JDownloader 2). And I don't understand why you are using an external tool to download videos, if JDownloader is the best doing it.

Go to the tab Settings--->Plugins---->Look for the plugin of youtube and you can setting the plugin there.

P.D.: Remember that Flashgot is an external tool, and if you have problem with it, you need to ask to the support in the flashgot website.

There might be some compatibility issues with the latest version of the JDownloader and the Flashgot.

Hum, yes it looks like it was some kind of incompatibility.

I installed JDownloader 2 (was running the 0.9 version) and it now works fine.

Thanks for the help

For me works in JD 0.9.581 too. I'm using the latest version of flashgot and firefox 18.

Check if you have checked the TOS for directhttp and youtube.
Settings===> Plugins & Add-ons==>Host. Look for the directhttp and youtube plugin, then see if the column ACCEPTED is checked.

If you use Flashgot with youtube, make sure that it only sends the normal youtube links to JD e.g.:
youtube.com/watch?v=JnPfplIA32w
Direct video links should NOT be sent to JD by Flashgot!
