@TTManUK

Just for your info. MU usually is a fast host, doesn't have captchas, has short wait times, and offers resume for free loaders. It's the perfect host for people with a slow internet connection.

i suggest to remove mcaffee, restart computer and see if jd resume.
jd does resume if possible.
without mcaffee you can find out if it is causing this issue

something on your side blocks/changes the http request and changes it.
server does not support resume = the request jd gets does not support resume.

what firewall/av do you hve installed?
please give a logfile too

I am not using any Av now McAfee is uninstalled and no firewall either. Windows Firewall is disabled, it is a work laptop though so maybe some group policy changed some settings?

Here is my logfile:

McAfee leaves some nasty trash in your computer when you uninstall it. Make sure to save a restore point before proceeding.

There should be a cleanup tool on the McAfee support web site. After using that tool, clean your registry with a tool like the Registry Cleaner in Glary Utilities (glarysoft.com).

For more information, see General Discussion -> Self Help Index -> Windows System Repair for JDownloader -> section C.

Thanks, I did try uninstall the McAfee Agent after the main program but it wouldn't allow me as it was supposedly still in use, even after a restart.

Downloading seems pretty stable now, although before when it was breaking I was getting around 200kbps, now at 1 con/1 dl I am maxed out at 30kbps, it literally sits at 30 without changing at all for the whole file. Would that suggest I'm being throttled by my ISP? Its supposed to be a 20MB connection!

the logfile still shows that the server does not respond to resume header
can you please verify if browser can resume. if it also cannot , then its something on your computer/your isp

I've been having problems with MU since i think, yesterday or so. The download speed is very unstable, and then just now it got even worse, it kept going below 1kb/s and was actually being measured in bytes.
I'm already using the Nightly version since I was also experiencing MU problems before.
And I don't think this is my internet connection acting up like I previously thought as downloads from other hosts are working perfectly fine.

other hosts != megaupload.
where are you from?
it can be 1.) firewall/av 2.) isp block 3.) megaupload block
they started to block hongkong again yesterday so i guess others may be blocked too

I think it was just a MU hiccup? since it seems to be working again now, I didn't really do anything about it, it just started working.

But as for firewall and block, it definitely was not my firewall and country-block I'm from Nicaragua so I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up one day and found out I was blocked from MU.

Just after I posted it had gotten a lot worse, it would be at 16kb/s for a bit, then just go down to 0 and stay there.
I'm very glad it fixed itself, I hope MU doesn't hiccup anymore

Sorry for the trouble~

95.211.104.18:80->10.151.9.31:56128 Download request is dropped due to exceeding max content size.
a transparent proxy/scanner is causing this issue.
setup firewall/av/router correct.

Today I'm getting "Network problems" with MANY files. Even if I use Mega Manager, DL speed for each file won't go over 10KB/s and even if I DL 8 files or so, simultaneously, it still doesn't reach my DL cap (~240KB/s) (with "Max Connection" set to "50", the maximum value in MM). Files that do not show "Network problem" message in JD (I'm using Nightly version) are DLed at full speed with my premium acc. MU is on its knees -- it won't take too long for them to drop. Uploads, on the other hand, hit cap with no issues and result in valid links.

If you have speed/connection issues even with a premium acc, try Mega Manager and DLing from your browser. If they all show crap speed, then it's MU fault, not JD's.

hey jiaz, i tried resuming a download again from MU on a different internet connection today and it worked, now I have returned home again and its back to "does not support chunkload" so maybe the issue was ISP related rather than MU blocked JD again. Have you tried a resume?

thanks for all the valuable info.
it seems megaupload has some serious server issues (low speed, connectoin drops)
about the resume issue, it is very likely to be an isp issue (transparent proxy problem).

@ TTManUK,

If you have reconnection set-up, are you able to resume a download after reconnection?

Default MU Premium, file not found

Hello,
Problem is with megaupload premium.
Linkgrabber says file is online and right after i'am going to download it, it disables the file @ download section and says file is not found.

direct http download is working, right now only way to download premium stuff with jdownloader is to use flasgot with firefox so it would be like direct http download.

I'am using ubuntu 10.10 with Java 6b20-1.9.2-0ubuntu2 (openjdk-6-jre)
Jdownloader -x-mas- Version 0.9.580
Log http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/23125

UPDATE: It only happens with those big premium links, not whit those Archives files (big file splitted)

I assume you both have premium accounts and that you have tried reentering the account information into JDownloader.

Of course, you both know that you should be using Sun Java 32 bit JRE 6 update 21 (or 17).

You may have to change to the Nightly Test version. There are some fixes there that cannot be made to 9580.

In any case, read the rules for Hoster Plugins and provide the requested information.

Ok updating my progress:
java 6b20ubuntu to -> Java 6 update 21
Jdownloader Version 0.9.580 -> Nightly Test version
Ubuntu 10.10 with 110Mbit/s cable connection, no proxy.

Same thing.
Problem exists only with those "premium only" over 1024mb files, gives me "file not found" error. premium account is working fine with those under 1024mb files. so yeah i believe theres somekinda logging problem?

(going back to stable version)

A Bug report has already been submitted about the > 1GiB files. The bug is probably not in the plugin, so it will probably not be fixed until the next major release.

Can 900Mib of these files be downloaded (then you manually Disable and Enable the link) and then resume the download?

This problem will probably be fixed as part of Download Engine 2.

Yes, it will resume.

And for now everyone thats has that bug, u can download over 1024mb file by following megaupload link to mu page (where this premium download button is), and then just copy that link (premium button) so jdown. link grabber will have it and it will download it as direct http link (not using mu host plugin).

Well, i had already started to download the link before the bug so that fix didn't work for me...
Also a strange thing happen with megamanager: If I pause the download, and then at any time I continue it, instead of continue downloading, the download start again.... :S

Hi! I'm having troubles with downloading from MU...

I download big files (4Gb +) almost everyday, and I don't have any problems with downloading from Premium DepositFile or Zshare (I name these two because are the ones from where I can download simultaneously). I download up to 20 parts at a time, with a nice speed, and if they get interrupted, they are easily resumed.

However, I don't have the same luck with my Premium MegaUpload account, because when I try to download several parts at the same time, it starts well, but then one of the parts gets interrupted and JDownloader freezes. If I leave JD like that, without touching anything, in some minutes it shows "Conection Lost: Resuming In... " (I don't know exactly what's the message in english, since I use JD in spanish, and it says "Conexion perdida: volviendo a intentar en... ") and then I can download fine, but again, some minutes later, the same happens and so on...

I already tried using less conections, but still the same. I also tried less simultaneous downloads, and if I download 2 or 3 parts at a time there's no problems, but when I try downloading 4, JDownloader freezes again...

Alguna solutions or suggestions?

Thanks!

Bruno

Please,

1) allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the port 80/html/web scanner in your virus software.

2) reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1.

If these recommendations don't help, please provide some example links and a complete and detailed log.
