I don't think JD2 is lighter than JD Nightly and I telling you that because when I run only the JD2, the CPU reach at 70 Celsius and when I run JD Nightly it reach 60 Celsius so...
And I don't run anything else. And as the clipboard adding links it doesn't add every link to it's own package and add all the links even it isn't for one package to one package so the automatic split of packages doesn't work. so your not running any Instant Messaging software / Browsers / security software (antivirus|firewall)?? I find that highly doubtful.
Have you checked the various setting in advanced? if not why not?? set to 0 or disable the various checkbox, if you don't want to use various... Do you have any custom package customiser rules?? if so what are they (take screen shots).

I run the exact same programs when I open the JD Nightly and the CPU doesn't reach that 70 Celsius that reach with JD2 beta so....
No I don't think I have change anything at advanced options. What is that "set to 0 or disable the various checkbox" The various package limit was at 1. So I make it into 0? Now I change the various from 1 into 0 it change and from some test links it added to different package as it was in JD Nightly. Thanks for help for that issue. So for other that uses more CPU than JD Nightly is there any options to make it lighter the program? Last edited by raztoki; 15.09.2013 at 10:05. Use the filter box 'various'
Yes you can either set to 0 or uncheck the checkbox setting. It will achieve the same outcome. Sorry don't bye it for the following reasons. - JD2 could be downloading faster. - Your antivirus / firewall software might not be configured correctly for JD2 and is performing scans which are not happening on older versions of JD. Attributing the system load && temps - The extraction library (3rd party) isn't the same version between JD2 and JD Nightly. Believe the default CPU intensity setting is the same though. - JD2 allows more threads for tasks vs JD Nightly so this can allow for more tasks to happen at the same time, thus increasing system load/temps but task gets done faster. - Along with other changes which can play influence.

irritierende auswahl

Last edited by Massaguana; 21.09.2013 at 13:29. |

I have cleaned the thread up. Please notice: this is no support thread! If you experience problems using JD2 Beta, please create a new thread instead of posting here. Only post here if things have changed in JD2 (Beta) in comparison to JD 0.9.581. To all GERMANS: please write in English, if possible. In addition, you can still write in German.
Spoiler:

Okay, but JD1 is also faster that JD2... JD1 same speed like external Tools... JD2 is generally slower...

Last edited by nikflin; 26.09.2013 at 10:35.

Just started using JD2 beta on Mac today. Looking great!!!
Two questions. 1) Where did the stop after this download button or functionality go to? I can't find it anywhere. 2) I've got 3 downloads going but only one shows up in the Downloads tab. How do I show the other downloads? (Yes, they are going because the one download I can see is running 80-100KiB/s but overall I've got 572KiB/s downloading in total. Picture available if necessary.) Thanks, B. |

Thanks for the tip on Stop after this Download!
Here is the screen shot. It shows that only 1 download in progress. This download is using 100.95KiB/s. But there are actually 2 more downloads in progress. I can't see the other two. How do I know there are 2 more? (a) lots more downloading traffic going on (see right top corner of screenshot) and (b) I have 2 more files in the download folder with names filename2.rar.part and filename2.rar.part |

Multi-Hoster improvements
I'm lovin' jD2 so far, specially the multi-hoster's integration (e.g. zevera, alldebrid, etc); still, I think there are some issues that could possibly deserve a little more attention:
1 - multi-chunk downloads from the multi-hoster: I get corruption in files whenever I feel the need to download certain files using multiple chunks (e.g. 4, 8, etc); the result is that I many times end-up either re-downloading the whole thing all over again (and a few of these files still give me corruption) or I give up and disable the multi-hoster and download as a free user in a single chunk (I never get corruption using this mode). Maybe there should be a system that allows the user to download only the corrupted chunk again? Using an HEX editor I can clearly see the "00 00 00 00" parts on the corrupted file (most usually). Maybe there could be a "protection" in place to avoid receiving invalid parts on multi-chunks (e.g. empty sections "00 00 00 00..."). Maybe jD could rollback a few Kb when resuming, so that it wouldn't include corrupted parts inside the files. I know this is a problem with a very complex nature, specially due to the fact that multi-hosters act as intermediaries with their own file-server system and they can very well have flaws of their own; but I think maybe jD could implement a few tactics to prevent those flaws to propagate to us users and avoid having us downloading the very same files again and again and again... 2 - enabling and disabling specific hosters from multi-hoster's: There are a few hosters that are supported by zevera, and the free user option still has a better perfomance overall (allow for multiple simultaneous connections and has better download speeds than zevera); It would be incredibly useful for any user of a multi-host server if we could select inside jD's interface the filehosters that should be enabled or disabled for that particular multi-hoster. I know there used to be a text file that we could edit to enable or disable those hosters but that isn't particularly "easy" (a lot of intermediary steps and a complete stop of the current downloads and re-start of jD). I might be wrong and I might be alone in wanting this but I really think this would be a very cool feature to add to multi-hoster support. 3 - .encrypted files from mega.co.nz: I've been getting a few files from mega with the added extention .encrypted; sometimes I just have to eliminate the extention and the file works just fine; other times the elimination of the extention isn't enough (the file looks corrupted and can't be opened by any of the regular applications). I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I thought I should report it. |

1. JD should already handle that quite well.
If there are CRC errors, they re 99,99% caused by the servers on the other end, in this case, the multihosters. ...BUT at least the finished JD2 version will detect- and re-download parts with CRC errors. 2. This has recently been done though it's not yet available in the BETA: http://svn.jdownloader.org/issues/9795 We then even have an account priority manager...you ll be amazed by this for sure In our developer version, you can already check this out. 3. For this we need logs and stuff. The mega implementation had to be done fast so all the decryption stuff is done in the plugin which would usually be done by other modules (like unpacking is done by the unpack module e.g.). This could of course lead to errors but we have no reports about that (yet). Thanks for your feedback! GreeZ pspzockerscene

how can I reactivate the double click feature on a package in jD2? There's no need for opening the download-folder per default.
in jD1 I loved this double-click thing: all details visible and changeable like package name, download directory and de/activate unpacking for all single packages. in jD2 it's quite lame to check package name, download-folder in these single package lines. And afaik de/activating unpacking is only possible in context menu. This is qite lame compared to the double-click feature in jD1. I hope this can be changed again! properties panel is no longer. table fields are directly editable or brings up dialogs or even both depending on how you click. within 'name', single click, short pause, single click will allow you to edit field double click, fast: opens download location in system file explorer if package, on file it will open file if file exists. else if you are still downloading it will opens download location in system file explorer. in respects to disabling package/file I believe you can set customisable keyboard within settings > user interface :: linkgrabber || download views. Hopefully that will be suffice. JD2 is highly configurable but I believe the click states will not be. Hopefully that answers your intimidate concerns/questions raztoki

sorry man, try this via teamviewer, vnc and you will instantly hate this new editing as well. It takes ages and losses of hair to rename the packages and download-directorys, because it's hard to see if the line is higlighted or not, if the cursor is in it or not, the right moment to click it again ...
And next thing: jD1 did delete spaces in front of copied text like " ubuntu.iso" <--- this space jD1 deleted, but jD2 doesn't. So, if you take copied text for packages oder directory names, you often got spaces as first character. umpff, I saw in another thread, that there is no option to show the remaining time for all downloads ... I really like your work and I've spent in the past some bucks to honor it, but I think jD2 unfortunately lacks of too many essential things jD1 had. Last edited by romeon; 10.10.2013 at 13:35. |

probably more advisable instead of using Teamviewer or VNC to use webui or application to send links to JD (JD2 has new API). Maybe more friendly for you that way. Must remember that JD is made as single user program, with design scope for primary interfacing on the system that runs it. Yah I guess lag would make it hard with vnc / teamviewer, though to be honest, I use those platforms also and haven't really suffered that fate. Then again when I want different package name I generally make package customiser rules or even edit/make plugin and set it that way I want ;p
as for space either side of text.
