After a manual update (replacing the files with the ones from a friend) and clicking on update, Install I get:
Spoiler:

Also I can now change the type of proxy server but it still starts as SOCKS5 instead of 4.

Found the restore as Socks5 bug, Update is on the way
Set again to Socks4 and I hope the Updater should work fine then. It fails because it tries to connect via Socks5 and fails

Now it works, unfortunately there seems to be other problems with the proxy module, will test with more download sites tomorrow. Will also test the update module once there is a new update.

Thank you very much by providing feedback and help with the proxy support in JDownloader. The Update is already Live. Download installer.jdownloader.org/JDownloader.jar to have working version as basis, make sure you've changed type to socks4 (better close/start again) and then it should work fine.
Waiting for more feedback!

The update function is working fine since about v5103 (might be due to enabling IPCheck Uses Proxy option) and I haven't noticed direct requests for content ignoring the proxy. Still having problems when initiating downloading of files (might be fixed in latest update) - will test more in the next few days and report back.

P.S. Thanks for the time and attention spent resolving this problem.

Errors I'm still seeing in the log files:

Thanks for your feedback:
java.net.SocketException: Socks4 request rejected or failed
As you have same issue with Socks5 I guess either your proxy server has some restrictions or you've reached the connection limit on proxy?

It's possible, but it's like the first XX requests are denied and then it works fine + right now there seems to be a problem with the LinkGrabber - quite often it hangs for a minute with 50% CPU usage & Please wait: Parsing Clipboard content and then produces strange results.

[EDIT]
It seems the Captcha Solving Plugins are ignoring the proxy settings. Also I find the captcha solver priority setup quite confusing.

Fixed non proxy usage for all captcha services except death by captcha as we are using their official api which we will have to modify for proxy support

The clipboard stuff takes less than 200 ms for me. Can you reproduce the long waiting? What are your system specs?

I'm sorry but I dont have enough time to rewrite the DBC Api to use our socket/browser/proxy classes.

Captcha doesn't seem to work although it's no longer making direct connection requests (any recommendations where to look for helpful log data?). Also do I need to instal there software on every system I want to use it on or does JD2 needs only the ID/PW?

Will try to reproduce them tomorrow if I have time (Celeron G550, 8GB, Win7 64bit, Java 1.7 u75). I think it's more likely to be related to the reason it's adding lines with "%20class=attribute-value" at the end than system specs.

I don't know how likely is that since the problem exist only with JD2 on JD and every other program I use (including the web browser) it haven't shown such behavior/problems. Could it be a timeout problem?

Hi,
JDownloader needs only ID/PW für DBC Service. Will check/fix tomorrow. No need to install their software. JDownloader directly uses their api.

Can you tell me what proxy software you are using? what system is the proxy running on? I never saw such issues before and using proxy stuff since I've added support for it

Can you reproduce the slow clipboard stuff? It highly depends on the html content of the clipboard (your post only includes the text content in clipboard)
If so more a timeout issue of proxy, as JDownloader still has same timeouts. But when I know more about the proxy setup maybe I can find out more and help/fix it.

I believe it's an old ISA proxy server but might be wrong (I'm only using it, don't have access to the server).

P.S. Didn't have time to test today. Will try to next week.

I can think of
1.) too fast requests
2.) too many requests
3.) windows (proxy) running out of *half open* connections
Using Dante/SSH proxy never had such issues. Also Squid never gave issues

Will check CBS Plugin. Did it work before my changes? Maybe I broke something by adding proxy support. Would it be possible to send me CBS logins via email ?

CBH works fine for me
In your Logfile
java.io.IOException: 500 Internal Server Error
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
Both are server issues I could not reproduce.
