Any ways to resume the download rather than download again from the beginning?

Hi,

Same problem as grizzly666 with *date*.

However, it's working correctly with *date_time*.

*date_time[MMdd-EEE]* - *videoname* (*quality*).*ext* --> name is "0414-Tue - <title>"
*date[MMdd-EEE]* - *videoname* (*quality*).*ext* --> name is " - <title>"

It looks very similar to the problem that I already reported in:
https://board.jdownloader.org/showth...08516&langid=6

(and was fixed)

Yes now *date_time* is working *date* does not!
No big deal since you can use date_time without it showing the time using *date_time[yyyy/MM/dd]*

So thanks

date_time has always worked, it's what I use so I make sure it always works.

Since coalado been changing how JD plugin works to get around age restriction links without the need for login, some of the old regex fields no longer work as they are no longer available.

Yeah, except that *date* and *date_time* don't always return the same date. I'm living in Australia (GMT+10), so I guess it's something related to the timezone.

I prefer *date*, because I'm watching videos of people producing videos every day (from Europe), and they are correctly split by date only when I use *date*.

Default Limit the "best" to 1080p option - sense?

What is the sense of the option "limit the "best" to 1080p" ?

The description lets me assume that someone with not much knowledge suggested that option.

I mean the description of the option is totally senseless.
-> It doesnt matter at all if the monitor can use this resolution.

BITRATE is higher than with 1080p on higher quality levels and that you see with every monitor.

And I unfortunately read this misassumption by people so damn often :(

They seem totally forget that videoquality describes more than only the resolution if it comes to quality levels at youtube - for whatever reason.

Imo this option is unnecessary addition and the description misleading and not fully right - yes the video is downscaled at 1080p monitors, but the better encoded frames (more bitrate, more frame quality) you see of course also with such a monitor.

edit: Especially I dislike that this is even default to enabled. People who dont know about this option will wonder why jd2 doesnt use the better quality level or even dont notice it if the link was just copied without opening video in browser or watching in menus for what is available

That feature was implemented by one of our leading developers btw I don't find it misleading though I agree, it shouldn't be on by default.

If there are HFR Encodes youtube doesnt encode anymore 30fps versions. (and yes I know they did it before - but it seems they decided to not do that anymore - A reason may be that even firefox now supports MSE)

Code:

It is misleading, because it lets people assume they wont gain better quality if their monitor can only do 1080p and grab a higher file. Thats plain wrong.

But thank you very much for adding this ticket.

Also it is in my opinion a bit of pointless. If you dont want higher than 1080p - why not deactivate it at the menus of the plugin? So I still see not the purpose of this checkmark.

Read my post. How it should be able to do that if youtube doesnt encode HFR Uploads anymore to 30fps for HD?

Then you would have to download 480p. They are still low fps.

Also: Why just dont you enjoy the better fps rate? The videos have better quality with it as well.

Same video? If not: Videolink pls.
Maybe its an older video which still has 30fps variants.
Or it is a video which wasnt uploaded at HFR Framerate anyway.

Or you got the non-dash 720p ( Encode ID 22 - read my post with the list )

Really: Read my posts carefully and you should understand where the problem lies.

No JDownloader issue.
