I had the same problem and then I found out that I have a security program blocking the ffmpeg.exe process.

Disable third party security programs until you find the program that is causing the issue. Make sure that you update the JDownloader from the update button. Also try disabling the Antivirus just in case it is the cause. Go into the Antivirus Quarantine to check if the ffmegp.exe is blocked there. If the Antivirus is the issue then add the path to the antivirus exceptions list.

Update the thread once you find the problem.
