We do ask, it should give you a dialog asking you and showing you why its needed. With captcha image with and without browser loop been used. It shouldn't ever destroy your session it will only ever close tab as far as I'm aware. Though I switched back to appmode (see advanced setting for changing the browser used).

The Problem was my Chrome crashed last session. I didn't open it since then. After opening Chrome it would ask me if I would like to restore the last session. But now your program opened Chrome to do the captcha AND closed it instantly again. This will make it loose the last session. It did ask after it opened and closed Chrome if it should do it in the future and why it does it.
