Default JDownloader leaks more memory than a fork bomb

I use JDownloader in Linux, and for some reason, each time I have many packages in the Linkgrabber menu (and they were already loaded, etc.), and I want to move a file from one package to another, the computer just hangs. And with just hangs, I mean that not only JDownloader, but the whole computer just hangs. I just reboot. since it won't even work after restarting X!

Any solutions to this problem?

I can't give you any output because it just hangs, that means I can't do ANYTHING with the computer.

And I'm on an Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope using Java 1.6.
