Default Captcha browser not opening

When starting a download for Keep2share a box opens to enter captcha to continue, but when I click the box to open the browser it just sits there, nothing happens, it worked previously and displayed the captcha but now nothing, other captcha work for publish2.me, anyone any idea?

What OS ? What default browser do you use?

We know that sometimes browser do not open when we call them via command line.
You can try
-restart computer
-restart browser
-make browser the default browser (again)

Definitely definitely broken! Keep2Share refuses to open anything!

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Firefox latest version

restarting failed. This happened in the update from 2 days ago.. wish I had never updated as it has been broken since!

nothing has changed in respects to Browser solver in months, so update(s) in JDownloader hasn't caused it.

as Jiaz indicated it can fail for those reasons, but also
- it can also fail due to other browser extension (adblock/noscript)
- changes in your browser (those update regularly also)
- system lag, if your system is lagged the tab/window takes too long to load, the browser solver task will timeout.

try a different browser, if you have multiple installed
you can specify another via advanced setting > BrowserCaptchaSolver.browsercommandline
I use chrome, and opera12 is my default browser.
Code:
[ "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Google\\Chrome\\Application\\chrome.exe", "--no-referers", "--app=%s" ]

My chrome opened up for a captcha and all I see was a blank page. I then used the app instead.

Same problem- not possible to decrypt and download links.

Started after last update-
- FF
- everything started again (JDownloader, FF, PC)
nothing changed

E.g.: //cryptor.to/folder/.....

JDownloader Browser extension is installed

@XXMM: Please provide full example links. Cryptor is down for me.

@plaintext: https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=75363
JDownloader uses OpenLoad API which might show a RecaptchaV2

Ok.
Understood. Cryptor.to is shut down and everything will be transferred to filecrypt.

Will take a little bit of time.
Thanks.

Lightbulb [solved]

Same problem here , I've manually defined in
Settings->Advanced Settings->BrowserCaptchaSolver.browsercommandline
Code:
[ "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Mozilla Firefox\\firefox.exe", "%s" ]
but still it doesn't open captchas in my default browser, Firefox v. 57 (64-bit)
I've MyJDownload app installed and connected on it.
An example URL:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
Restarted the browser and it works again.

You don't have to change any settings when you want JDownloader to open your default browser. leave it empty.
Also check the real path, windows can show different folder name than it is.
