Default Downloaded default directory does not change

Hi there,I have an external HD and have set my downloaded files directory into a folder on this HD to be downloaded into a specially created there folder.
I restarted JD but no changes: downloaded files are still going into default folder on my primary HD where I do not have physical space to store them.
Any suggestion on how to solve it?
Thanks.

I still believe it's a user error, download always go to "Save to" destination.

thanks.could it be that I changed download folder after loading links to download? I habitualy use torrent clients and it is possible to change download folder any time, but may be JD is not such flexible...I will uninstall, then re install JD and will change default folder before copy links.May be this will work.
Thanks any way for your time and effort:-)

JD allows each package to have it's own download directory.

Changing default download directory will only affect next link grabbing, not the existing packages. To change download directory for existing packages, select all, right click, choose edit directory etc.
