CPU usage
Why is the cpu usage so high for this?
I'm only downloading one file and its using 10-15% cpu 100% of the time. dual core 2.66ghz is there some settings i can turn off? Because it hasn't always been this high, used to only use a few % |

I'm posting here because I'm seeing something similar since the last month, maybe two. Jdownloader started getting reeeeeeealy slow when I copy some links, not all it seems, and the linkgraber starts running, it goes to use 27% of the CPU.
Here are the logs for today. 18.04.14 08.15.24to18.04.14 08.14.13 jdlog://6847563166931/ Last edited by kwanbis; 18.04.2014 at 15:55. |

Well i don't think its big (I think its currently small, i used to have like 20+ packages and thousands of links but there was no large cpu usage back then either)
What would be big for you? |

20 000+ links.
Hm now that some of you guys can confirm this, probably the devs will check it tuesday. Please be patient. GreeZ psp

I wrote to Jiaz - but I have no answers now, because at the moment would be able to reproduce the problem
Example : Test jvisualvm |

In my situation, that in a very short period of time are removed the old archives and is also associated with the power CPU and HDD.

I think this problem was already presented ... I think happened to djmakinera, who handled thousands of links and then hung ... JD2 happened with few links consuming cpu and consumed many little ...

ReXTaR - hahah ha! What you can you know how much I have links and why it happened?
Jiaz well acquainted with this problem but you completely no idea about it. eisbaer - just a new version of JD2 gets more CPU ! Last edited by Lram32; 20.11.2015 at 18:41. Reason: merged posts |

is only a temporary detail as happened a few yesterdays ago ...
and it's true ... I know, to be exactly, but at some point was corrected, it was not just when it came out a new update of java (on this occasion) ... and recently came an update for java or not ? ... similar but with RAM.... http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=48524 and djmakinera have links.... http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=47495 and anothers similars topics.... http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=47522 http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=40545 http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=48790 http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=48287 seems funny that work for djmakinera .... lol .... you have thousands threads started ... editestowy - Moja aplikacja wydaje się robić bardzo cięzka lub GUI, przyciski (blokowac się) - jeśli zwiększe symulacje i w ustawieniach ustawie "natychmiast usuwaj linki pobrane". Tyler - I do not know. I just clean up here.

@djmakinera
In one of your screenshots I saw over 500k handles (dojścia) used by JD. It's enormous big number, mine JD uses about 1200 handles in peak performance. I think this is because you have debug and logging enabled and when you parse/download many links this may use a lot of CPU/Memory resources. Try to disable debug (Advanced Settings: Log.Debug Mode), decrease the number of opened log files (Log: Max Log Files)/decrease max size of log (Log: Max Log File Size) and report the results. |

What...?
Why is that stuff not disabled when its closed to tray? And why is this only happening recently.... this never happened before (it was barely a few % during use) 15-20% cpu usage for downloading a file is ridiculous. |

also dependant on what type of protocol your download is on, https chews much more than http. I've noticed large cpu loads under a single https download, more chunks you have worse it gets. This is due to handling encryption.

okay, well what other feedback do you need?
bump..... What other feedback is required? 10-15% is a high cpu usage and i went back and tried out jd1 again and it was barely using anything at all (like 1-2% max) It shouldn't be using 10-20% cpu just by being opened. Last edited by Lram32; 20.11.2015 at 18:42. Reason: merged posts |

I get an high cpu ussage when I grab links on a site or when I download with premium accounts. When I don't download with premium acounts and don't grab links its 10-15%.
