@Bazzu85: The extraction issue doesn't come from JDownloader. The downloaded archive is damaged and thus the extraction failes

@RabbitGti:
Ich schätze die Ursache liegt in diesem Fehler
org.appwork.storage.JSonMapperException: java.io.IOException: No space left on device
jd.plugins.PluginException: java.io.IOException: No space left on device
Welcher sich quasi durch das ganze Log zieht
Beim Speichern von Settings, Downloads und beim Entpacken

This thread is now not a sticky anymore as our RARv5 extraction seems to work fine so far and we haven't received any new reports

@buffysummers: either the overal extraction path is too long or there are *broken* characters within the filename that are causing the issue
Can you send me the links to the archive to support@jdownloader.org or would it be possible to do a teamviewer session?

Moin,

Hier einfach mal ein Log was hoffentlich passt....

Moin,

I'm not quite sure if I'm here at the right place request ... Just hope yes.
I use the Syno DS218+ with Docker and use the image jlesage/jdownloader-2 (of course you have nothing to do with it!).
The JDownloader2 is of course up to date within the deployed container - at least it claims to be (build 10.01.2022).
In the settings of the "Archive Extractor" it writes the version of the 7-zip binding 16.02-2.01 - which is also up to date, as far as I have seen correctly. As "Last Working Lib ID" he mentions "Linux-amd64-musl".

Hope that's enough information to start with.
The problem now is this: no matter what it loads and unpacks, it doesn't unpack.
But if I go to the tools via the toolbar and "manually" start an unpack, it unpacks as if there was never a problem.

Here is a log which hopefully fits....

@AprovelPD
Danke trotzdem für deinen Post er könnte für andere User hilfreich sein.
Dem (kaum vorhandenen) Feedback zu urteilen, gibt es keine (größeren) Probleme mit unserer RARv5 Unterstützung.

Grüße, psp

Am I missing something? All I see are announcements that this RAR5 extraction library now exists, but WHERE? Where do I download it? Can you just give a direct link to the download please? Not a link to a forum, but to the actual library download. This would be greatly appreciated!

7zip library comes with JDownloader and has been supporting rar v5 and younger for some years out of the box with no user interaction. If you have problems please provide a log (? > create a log) from an effected session, every now and then there are new variants (id within the rar) which we need to add detection for.

Extraction of rar files failed and I don't know if it was a rar5 problem or not so heres the log anyways

10.08.22 10.01.01 <--> 11.08.22 12.42.07 jdlog://5791035302851/

Files that failed extraction. 7-Zip had no problem extracting them outside of JDownloader

@Topken: Thanks for the log. issue is caused by
Quote:
Caused by: net.sf.sevenzipjbinding.SevenZipException: HRESULT: 0x8007000E (Out of memory). Error extracting 5783 item(s)
at net.sf.sevenzipjbinding.impl.InArchiveImpl.nativeExtract(Native Method)

You might wanna try to modify vmoptions file, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...vmoptions-file to provide more memory. eg set
Quote:
-Xmx1500m
I will try to reproduce the issue with your example links and maybe find a different solution than to provide more memory

My laptop has 24GB of ram so I will give 4-8gb and see what happens going forward.

And you are welcome for the log

Ok 6g is to large apprently LOL 2g it will be

Edit: HMM JDownloader doesn't open with either 2g or 1500m active in the vmoptions file.

Because you're using a 32bit JVM which is max at 2gb. If you want to provide more, switch to 64bit JVM, see https://jdownloader.org/jdownloader2
you can keep your list/settings/accounts by backup the complete cfg folder and restore it

Try -Xmx1g
But I'm already trying to figure out why this archive requires that much memory.

Update: do you have many links in list? can you provide a screenshot of the about dialog after a JDownloader restart? see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...tion-directory
I was not able to reproduce any issue, so my guess is that your JDownloader was already *near* max memory usage and that's why it failed. a screenshot can tell me more. you should not encounter the issue again with 64bit jvm (as it by default allows more memory)

@Topken: sure the issue also happens with the smaller of your example links (the 18gb file)? I could not reproduce any issue there but not have yet tested the larger one, because download takes a *little* bit longer

Please try to set -Xmx1g in vmoptions file or switch to 64bit jvm and check if that solves the issue for you?

Thanks for the feedback. Please try with 64bit. Please know that you can extract existing files on disk via Menu->Tools->Extract..so you don't have to re-download them Just for information:)
