Default Captcha Brotherhood Support Thread

Please be aware that captcha Brotherhood is not part of JDownloader. Support for this plugin is provided in this thread, but not by the JD staff. (drbits)

hi everyone,
as some of you already know and use, we have a new captcha exchange system, called "captcha brotherhood".

In captcha brotherhood, we detect wrong solved captchas and don't waste your credits.

this thread is created to be a support thread for captcha brotherhood system.

You can see details at h ttp://www.captchabrotherhood.com/

so, if you have any problems installing or using it, or if you have any suggestions, please post it to this thread

to summarize installation steps :

following steps requires that you installed JDownloader on default location.
1. Download installer from our webpage.
2. Save it on your computer. Right click on it and select "Install as Administrator" If you don't see that option, google for enabling it, or visit our webpage and click link provided on Downloads page. Don't install the program without selecting "Install it as Administrator", most probably it won't work.
3. "msctl32.ock is not registered" error is not important, click OK and continue if you encounter that.
4.After a successfull install, a shortcut will be placed on your desktop to start CBH solver. Right click on it and select Properties. There you will see an option to run it as Administrator, check it.

After those, it should work.
If your JD is installed on a non standart folder, you need to do some manual file copying. Watch the Video tutorials page on our website for installation videos.

@psp
thx

@Spongshga
thank you very much, i really appreciate your work. but i am working on some technical parts of the system , so i am not interested in designing a better looking gui or installer for now. I put some credits on your account, please accept them as an appreciation to your interest on my system.

@lelim
I have the impression that sometimes captchas which i typed in correctly (99% sure) are recognized as false.
I still prefer your system, captchatrader is nothing compared to yours!

Hi psp can you explain me why do you say that cazptha brotherhood is better than captchatrader?

In the last four days I encountered problems with captchatrader perhaps because they are upgrading their servers and website.
One thing I know is that captchatrader has A LOT of people using it and this means a lot of captcha solver (that's why they need to upgrade their servers).

Now I'm watching for alternatives because captchatrader servers are going down too frequently now but I wanted to ask you the reasons why captcha brotherhood should be better than captchatrader. For example is there an audio advice when you get a new captcha (one thing I like about captchatrader)? Do the captcha come quickly to be solved or you have to wait long periods to get a new captcha you can solve (one thing that depends on the amount of users I suppose)?

Thanks for the answers.

Servers would probably crash because of so many users^^

@lelim
How is the serverload?
Is it still okay?

He can't just throw our credits there for everyone because that will destroy the balance.

Yes, that would be exactly like reality. The illegal Federal Reserve Mafia cartel of private banks that enslaves the world has been creating billions of USD money recently (and in the past) and let the Chinese communists buy these excess dollars in order to keep their Yuan currency ridiculously cheap; always exactly the opposite of what the White House Mafia and Congress would like to achieve. They openly hate the cheap Yuan and the fact that the Chinese communists are buying the American economy.

Psp, you're a becoming a great economist.

He just means that in order to reduce serverload, a p2p network could be used for orchood but the admin said serverload is okay and servers can still handle it;)

Is there a way to not show the warning about being wrong after 10 seconds? it gets distracting after a while..

also to default not show the flash area animated stuff at the bottom?

your 10 seconds limit before you get less points is a lot of pressure already, any distraction is bad. and probably not good for performance either.

Installation problems

Hi,

Captcha Brotherhood seems to be a nice addition for JD.
The main application works and I already collected 870 credits.

My problem: I can't get it work with JD.

I called the installer of CBH 1.1.8 and got the message that the installation was successfully.
Nethertheless it doesn't work and seems to be a little bit strange.

1)
After installation I have 2 directories with jacinfo.xml and (all?) other files of CBH.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Brotherhood Software\Captcha Brotherhood
C:\Users\Beauty\AppData\Local\Captcha_Brotherhood\Files\Solver

Is this really the wanted task of the installer??

2)
There was no CBH directory in the path MyJD\jd\captcha\methods.
I suppose there should be a directory.

So I had a try and copied the directory captchaBrotherhoodPlugin to the JDs captcha\methods directory.
After restart of JD I didn't saw a new entry in the JD configuration menu and the captchas are still queried manually.
So my manually installation failed.

2b)
I checked all jacinfo.xml files of captcha\methods. The method name captchaBrotherhood is unique. So this point should be OK.

3)
When I call cbhWinPlugin.exe I get this error:
Quote:
input.jpg didnt come up in 10 secs. exiting plugin!

Well, no idea what it means.

4)
When I call JDJacinfoEditor.exe I get an uncatched .NET exception:
Quote:
C:\Program Files (x86)\JDownloader\jd\captcha\methods\captchaBrotherhood\jacinfo.xml couldn't be found.
That's correct, because I installed JD on an other path.
It would be useful if the CBH installer and/or the JDJacinfoEditor.exe asks the user for the JD location if it's different to the default path.

4b)
As I told, the CBH installer created redundant CBH files.
So when I call the redundant installed JDJacinfoEditor.exe of the second location
( C:\Program Files (x86)\Brotherhood Software\Captcha Brotherhood\JacinfoUpdater )
then the updater GUI opens.

But when I click to the button "Update Sites From Server", then I just get a "Update Error!" message.

I couldn't find solutions how to integrate CBH to JD.
Any ideas how to solve the problem?
(without changing the custom JD installation directory)

Hi,
1. Yes, its normal.
2. If JD is not installed on default locations, setup can not integrate CBH plugin with JD. Copying the CaptchaBrotherhoodPlugin folder to JD's methods folder should work after restarting JD. You will not see any option on JD menu, its normal. But we must solve why JD doesn't use plugin. What comes to my mind at first is that, strangely, JD doesn't use external plugins for some specific hosters, i remember turbobit.net as one of them. Don't know if any other exist or not. Which hoster are you trying to download from? Also, You can check if a file named input.jpg is created on ...methods\CaptchaBrotherhoodPlugin folder, when JD encounters a captcha to solve while downloading. If JD recognizes CBH plugin correctly, it should put the captcha as input.jpg on CBH plugin folder, and run CBH plugin exe.

3. its normal, as mentioned on 2. if you put a captcha file named input.jpg and run the exe again, it will be solved on the server and result will be written on output.txt on same folder.

4. Latest version update may have broken Jacinfo update procedure, i must check. Anyway, its not related to "why JD doesn't trigger CBH plugin" on your computer, it just adds new hosters to CBH Jacinfo file.

I also had problems with the jd plugin not being installed and after reading this, I also tried copying the folder manually and it worked. I did rename it to "captchabrotherhood" though, so maybe that's the deciding difference.

I am experiencing two weird things here, however.
1. When I use Jacinfo updater now, I only have 3 sites left in my jacinfo file.
2. When I installed CBH, I got the message "component mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered". I searched some time for a solution, but nothing worked, so I just ignored it and checked whether I got get it to run. Which I finally did. I was really surprised by this message, as I had already successfully used CBH before reinstalling my Windows System.

Thanks Lelim and PanicMan for your notes.

I'm very surprised.
Now (after a few days without computer usage) CBH works fine.

Perhaps something magic happened when I re-started the (equal) installer and started all the created CBH exe files (with the aim to quote the error outputs for this forum).

Turbobit?
I disabled the related JD plugin, because I had trouble in the past.

hi,
as psp mentioned, serverload is not a problem.
for p2p thing, i dont think that p2p method is applicable for captcha solving. because in p2p downloading systems, a peer does not have to be using her computer for a connection to be successfull. but for captchas, a peer is only useful when she is online and ready to solve captchas, which requires a human interaction. also in captcha solving, there is a time limit for a captcha to be solved, otherwise hoster site will expire session. so, we can't send captcha to more than 10-15 users within that time period.

It isn't working for me. Until yesterday everything was fine but now when downloading a file in download status bar it shows captcha recognition and in task manager I see that CaptchaBrotherhoodConsole.exe is using almost 100% of cpu. It lasts for couple of minutes and after that download doesn't start, everything writen above repeats.

you might have misspelled your password?
you seem to be a new user, so you can just create a new account and use that new one.
as you don't write your password twice for spell check, please take care of spelling your username and password, also, if you enter an email for your new account, i can create a new password and send it to that email, in case you forget it...

hi,
there is no easy way of doint that in CBH. You may try to rename jacinfo.xml and restart jd.

but, i think there is an option on JD interface to enable or disable external captcha plugins. i am not sure where, and can't check it at the moment :(
