ok, i'm retired and guy with "still, no problem" philosophy until i can fix it or just understand problem. it's 'i hate Java' problem and now it just happened again after 'must restart' update. 5 min before i finished 2 days Pixiv download and i can to try. now again i have 2 icon but who cares, i have 27" iMac and lot of space on screen.
thanks for trying Last edited by raztoki; 10.01.2018 at 03:22. Reason: revert of message |

I have this problem now since a couple of versions; every time I install an update, I get a second icon in the dock one JDownloader starts automatically after the update is finished. I always have to remove the old icon and keep the new one. Log (not sure wether it can include relevant information, as this is happening since a couple of versions from a few weeks ago): 25.06.18 17.11.28 <--> 25.06.18 17.11.09 jdlog://9080064433151/

The issue is known and caused by failing *icon stacking* the update process includes a restart of JDownloader and the new process icon doesn't stack with the existing/running process icon. We don't know yet why this happens or how to fix it.
A simple JDownloader restart after the update should fix this

It does, but it happens on every new update since a couple of weeks for me.

The problem exists since long long time and as explained, we still don't know how to prevent this from happening. We don't have an active mac developer so I'm sorry to say that such bugs will take longer until they can be fixed
