This is not enough (at least on my Linux box). You have to rename new .jar files to their old names:

mv sevenzipjbindingLinux1509.jar sevenzipjbindingLinux.jar
mv sevenzipjbinding1509.jar sevenzipjbinding.jar

Now JD2 reports correct version

Hmmm, that's confusing me. I did binary compare (cmp) and md5sum, both tests told me files are identical

And btw, datetime is still unchanged:
Code:
-rw-r--r--+ 1 manfred users 72390 Oct 6 09:32 sevenzipjbinding1509.jar
-rw-r--r--+ 1 manfred users 1012515 Oct 6 09:33 sevenzipjbinding1509Linux.jar
Will try again ...

Its not about the file itself, but the filename is important

JDownloader will see sevenzipjbinding1509.jar and then switch to new version instead of old version in sevenzipjbinding.jar
If you have issues with that, I can offer you live help via Teamviewer, just contact me via support@jdownloader.org

Hi,

I'm working with the win64 version of JDownloader 2 and just added those to files from the win64 archive to the lib folder.

I've successful tested the new extractor plugin with a self generated RAR5 downloaded from uploaded.net

Thanks a lot

Sadly for me it does not work.

Windows 10 x64, JDownloader2 64bit, Java 1.8.101 x64
7zip Binding version: 15.09-2.01beta
In the second when I try to extract a file (v5 or also older) the whole jdownloader process does not respond anymore and crashes.

Here is a log where I tried to extract an existing file on my machine with Extra/Extract:
09.10.16 14.17.53 <--> 09.10.16 14.18.04 jdlog://5511681887641/

I have send a mail to the support address with a sample file attached. It does crash for me also when trying to extract this file - as it seems that all other archives also cause such a crash.
Based on the report of McBluna I assume that not the archives or the plugin in general is broken but somehow together with my specific configuration it causes these kind of crashs. I reverted currently back to the old plugin and everything is working as expected (v5 rar does not work but there is also no crash, other formats are extracted).

Hi,
I use the new version for 2 days now and still have no issue with it. Everything works as expected. I've tried rar, rar5 and zip so far.

Here more details about my system:
Windows 10 x64, AMD CPU, 8GB RAM, SSD
I don't have a JDK/JRE installed, JD2 runs with the internal one 1.8.0_40(32bit).

I'll do additional tests running JD2 with the latest 64bit JRE.

First I've installed Oracle JRE 8 102 x64. I've uninstalled JD2 but kept my settings. Downloaded the latest WebInstaller for windows. It installed JD2 with 1.8.0_40(64bit). Actually the installer ignores the installed JRE.

I've downloaded a rar5 and JD2 crashes when extracting starts.

I've switched back to 32bit and it works again. So it's seems not to work with 64bit JRE on windows 10.

Just hope this might be helpful.

Extracting a multipart archive, is it fails the second part is extracted instead of skipping it.

Thumbs up

Just wanted to drop a note. Since 26.10. I've experienced no issue at all running the new version on two windows x64 systems.

I just wonder why no one else seems to care about this Public Betatest...

I guess it is because RAR5 is not used that often

I found those RAR5 archives on recent BD complete and remux downloads only. All others are still RAR4's

@succo: Contact me at support@jdownloader.org and I can help/guide you how to compile the lib yourself. I don't have a running i386 system available.

Hallo zusammen,

Vielen Dank für die Mühe & viele Grüße,
