An Error Occured While Loading The Archive
Hi guys!
I just downloaded the Linux version of the JDownloader to use it on my fresh Ubuntu 9.10 installation. Although I installed the latest Java Runtime Enviroment some days ago, my JDownloader won't start... After extracting the downloaded archive to my desktop and hitting the JDownloader.exe, I get the following error message: Code:
Archive: /home/int3rf3ct0r/Desktop/JDownloader 0.9.310/JDownloader.exe [/home/int3rf3ct0r/Desktop/JDownloader 0.9.310/JDownloader.exe] End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive. zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /home/int3rf3ct0r/Desktop/JDownloader 0.9.310/JDownloader.exe or /home/int3rf3ct0r/Desktop/JDownloader 0.9.310/JDownloader.exe.zip, and cannot find /home/int3rf3ct0r/Desktop/JDownloader 0.9.310/JDownloader.exe.ZIP, period. What's the issue?^^ How can I finally use JDownloader?^^ Thanks in advance for Your help, 1Nt3Rf3Ct0R Last edited by Jiaz; 20.11.2009 at 17:24. |

please download the NON EXE (exe is windows ) version from homepage
how about the Linux Version thats a zip file (extract it and start JDownloader.jar) or how about the jd.sh installer script from our homepage (download-linux section) also make sure you installed sun java (java -version must output sun java) if not install it and change default java with sudo update-alternatives --config java

Thank you...
The jd.sh seems to work fine... But, as you can see on the screenshot below, you are about to download the windows versions if you don't look very close (like me^^)... Although I pressed "Linux" first, these links appeared... Absolute nonsense... |

these links are correct. they are zip files
you simply dont use the .exe in it, you use the JDownloader.jar directly or the jd.sh file
