It matters not how I change the various settings available to me.... one connection or 20 connections or anything in between, the same error comment will occur after a few seconds.

I have spent much time reading the various Threads and Posts in these Forums and I have enabled and disabled various portions of both my Firewall and Anti Virus Program. Nothing makes a difference.

It's a shame as jdownloader is a very nice program..... it simple won't work with Rapidgator.... and as a bit of research will show you.....the vast majority of movies and TV shows etc are hosted on that Provider .

The solution is (as I mentioned earlier)..... reduce the reconnect time from four minutes to say, a couple of seconds for those situations where jdownloader\rapidgator incur multiple reconnection issues.

For my part, The present situation forces me to desist in my use of jdownloader in favor of Internet Download Manager.

If it works with your browser and IDM, then it also work with JDownloader.
Can you provide a logfile with connections set to 1 that shows the issue?
Did you try to uninstall firewall/av and reboot computer?

I'm having similar issues as miketee (i specifically registered here because of rapidgator issue with JD2)

Premium rapidgator account
Firewall disabled
Max chunk test from 1 to 20
Max Simultaneous download set to 1

no matter what settings I use after downloading a bit, it stops (green icon with !) and 5 min wait. I have to stop and start the download again for it to continue. After a bit it stops again, and I have to stop & start. repeat till download is done.

I don't have this issue with downloads from browser.

@harrydogg and twistedvincent
Please provide a logfile, https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs
and post logID here.

Also please make sure firewall/av are correct setup. easiest test would be to remove/uninstall them! disable does NOT help if they are the cause of this

@harrydogg:
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
Firewall/AV has closed the connection
You should try to set max connections to 1 and rightclick reset the download
Also make sure to setup Avast correct! Easiest test would be to uninstall it and reboot computer and try again.

@Jiaz

I've tried setting max connections to 1. as I said before, max connection & max chunks all set to 1. disabled Avast (all shields & firewall) same issue.
I don't want to uninstall avast just to test if that's the cause (which I do not believe is) There is no issues when downloading via browser just when using jdownloader.

if you can't fix this issue, could you please consider miketee's suggestion and reducing the reconnect time (or give us the option to change it) to 4 sec instead of 4 mins?!

@harrydogg: No issue with browser but with JDownloader -> something causing the issue because in both cases its the same tcp connection. I can take a look via teamviewer if you like.

Log does not show a single Rapidgator download/issue. Please create new one
What I can tell is that you either have network issues or firewall/av cause issues. Lot's of socket issues

Check with browser, if it works then upload the log with debug mode enabled in advanced settings.

I didn't say that, just ask you to check with browser, go to rapidgator site, login there.
If it''s OK, then try again with JD after enable debug mode, upload the log.

If you're manually typing the password then try copying and pasting it into the password box instead. It may be something you think is a lower case L is a capital I, I've been caught out with things like that before.

To test it in your browser open http.rapidgator.net and click login at the top left of the window.

If it doesn't work you can get them to send you a new password via email by clicking the forgot password link on the login page.

We are in contact via Ticket/Email. The logins are invalid in browser as well. I suggested to try password change or contact their support.

We were in contact and I tested your logins twice and always failed to login.When you say you can easily login at their website then you must be using different logins than those you provided in the e-mails because those didn't work at all.

[Solution (albeit a crap one)]: try limiting the speed. I'm getting stable downloads at about 800K (single thread). If that won't stick keep reducing it.

Then try increasing the chunks and upping the limit.

I figured this out using Microsoft Edge which, unlike Jdownloader & Firefox, works fine, but restricts each thread to 755-790K.

Pretty shoddy for a premium service.

Default Valid premium account is shown as expired

Hi, somehow jdownloader doesn't recognise my valid premium account. It shows that the account is expired although the account is still valid, I can use premium downloading via browser and the password I have also double checked. Was there any update corrupting this plugin recently?

@phb: log does not contain any account activity.
Make sure to enable debug mode in Settings-Advanced Settings, search for debug, enable log debug and restart JDownloader
then remove/add the account again. After error, create new log and provide logID

I've just started seeing a problem with Rapidgator when trying to download multiple files on a premium account.

Sometimes it will start downloading one, sometimes two files, but sometimes it won't even download one before I get a "server says please wait" message and times out for an hour. Removing and re-adding the account will clear the message, but again trying to run multiple downloads causes the error to happen again.

27.09.17 17.43.28 <--> 27.09.17 17.48.48 jdlog://5115614015941/

I've tried disabling the API setting but once I complete the login catchpa it tells me the account is expired and asks if I want to renew.

Using a browser I can run multiple downloads without an issue.

I can confirm this is happening right now. Their API is expiring sessions very quickly (sometimes right after generating it, sometimes within 1 or 2 uses). Hopefully they can sort this out soon.

Thanks Lifetalk, I had a suspicion it might be an RG caused issue given it just suddenly stopped working properly after I'd been running jdownloader for a while.

Edit
Never mind, spoke to soon.

Same problem here, I contacted their customer support 'cause it's clearly a problem on their side.

Note that going to "settings" and then doing a "refresh" for RG usually clears this problem and allows downloads again (until it starts happening again, which is usually rather soon)

Refresh is worthy trying, but it may not clear the error, in my case the only way to clear it is to remove and re-add the account. Or wait an hour

Edit
Just found out that my mistake was using the refresh button at the bottom of the account settings window, right clicking and selecting refresh does clear it.

I have received confirmation from RG that they are aware of this bug and fixing it.

And trying now, I see that it appears to be fixed.

@lifetalk: thanks for the confirmation.
I'm confident they will have it fixed soon.

Disable/enable the account to avoid waiting time. this will cause fresh login on account

Thank you for information. We are working on this issue.
It will be fixed soon.
We are sorry for the inconvenience

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Kindest regards,

And btw, it doesn't appear to be fixed yet

In fact, I can't even get into their site right now

Now I ran a proxy and it seems that only I (on Verizon FIOS) am having issues assessing the RG site!

P.S. I ran a traceroute and you can't get there from FIOS! :(
