Default How to access the file server URL?

Hi, When I select a link in the downloads tab and go to Properties > Show Download URLS - I only see the url for the web page that cited the download link. I do not see the actual download link itself - the one from the respective file server. How can I see this URL?

LATER EDIT: To clarify, I mean the URL that I originally pasted to the clipboard.

I rely on it when I have troubles with non-premium downloads (until plugins are updated) so I can can access the link using the fileserver web page. It works this way in the old JDownloader. Why should it be impossible in the new one?

Currently, I can only go back to the page where the link was published and then figure it out which fileserver link it corresponds to -- Not always easy to do because the file name doesn't usually appear in the fileserver urls.

Enable the column "download from", then do double click on each URL, you will see the link, of course If it is available, though in most of cases it is

No, this doesn't work either. It too just shows the url for the page that cited the download link, not the fileserver url.

You cannot view the final downloadlink!

JerryL,
you could use a free tool like "URL Snooper" (for windows).
This will show you the server url, even if a link should be encrypted.
You will need to make a connection, though.

Jiaz - I don't see any downloadurl column, just the Download from column. Is that what you meant? But as I mentioned, this also only shows the source page, not the fileserver url.

Why not? And why take this feature away that was working fine in the old version? In the old version, you can select Open in browser and it took you to the fileserver site url. A step backwards, in my opinion.

I want to see the ORIGINAL url, whether encrypted or not -- the one I copied to the clipboard. Why is this so hard? The old JDownloader let you go to this URL and that's what I want to do with JDownloader 2, from time to time.

@JerryL
Wrong - the old version behaved very similar to the new one and you were NEVER able to get the final server downloadlinks.
However, if you mean the normal links to the files e.g. uploaded.net/file/xxx - nothing changed!
You might habve to adjust the url display order under Settings --> User Interface --> Downloadlink address display

GreeZ psp
EDIT

If you add links e.g. via linkcrypt.ws, you won't be able to get the "original" links - its exactly the same in JD1!

Ok, now we are finally getting somewhere. Didn't know about this setting. I reordered it so that Source, Container, Data come first in that order. And now I am getting exactly what I want and can now see the fileserver url. THIS IS THE SOLUTION TO THIS POST! Thanks.

I think people were getting hung up with this idea of seeing the actual internal server-side link, unencrypted, etc. All I wanted is to see the very same URL that I copied to JDownloader in the first place. THE DEFAULT BEHAVIOR FOR THIS CHANGED IN JDOWNLOADER 2 so that you don't necessarily see this unless you reorder the address display components. (In JD1, I was able to select Open in Browser, and it would take me to the source URL.)

@JerryL
Data should be the first.
I understand you've moved "source" at the top. If you have "data" at the top ignore this post.
There are a couple threads about this setting (for example: https://board.jdownloader.org/showth...ight=Url+Order), just use boardsearch so you can find useful information about your issues/doubts/etc ^^

Hi,

It seems the behavior of this has changed. Now I don't see the URL of the container any more. I just see "*****************" as download URL. This is much worse than before because now it is impossible to know where the downloads came from.

@emilytzgyr
This should only happen if you add containers or crypted links which are added via decrypter as container.
Please post the source URLs, then we can tell you exactly whats going on.

Neither JDownloader 1 nor JDownloader 2 show the real download url if it comes from crypted source. This is how it has been all the time.
Plain in -> Plain out
Crypted in -> Crypted out
You can click on the URL in Table (enable download from column) and see all available urls.
