capatcha-window desn't change workspace
I'm using jdownloader under Linux (with openjdk (IcedTea6 1.8.7)).
There the capatcha-window behaves strange. If it pops up, it pops up on the same workspace as jdownloader runs, not on the active one (which wonld be much better, because the one sees it.) On the other hand, the "download finished" pop-ups appear on the active desktop, and strangly - if an "download finished" pops up, while a capatche-window is waiting, the capatcha-window moves with it to the active workspace. Is it possible to give the capatcha-popup the same behavior as the download finished ones? TIA gg Last edited by Jiaz; 10.06.2011 at 09:50. |

thats a java thing we cannot change. the reason why popup shows on different screen is because it is not *bound* to jdownloader main window. java+linux handles this differently.
the captcha window is *inside* the jdownloader main window. i dont know any method to force window to current workspace as this is a linux+java thing to be solved

Thanks for your quick reply.
But iirc was this no problem with (much) older versions of jdownloader. Was the capatcha window changed from an extra window to one inside the main window? And if this is so, is this really necessary? thanks gg |

I think that this problem could be 'worked around' if there's an option to show the CAPTCHAs in the lower left corner of the screen (instead of the default lower right corner).
I have this problem too... I have to enter some random letters in the CAPTCHA and wait for the next one, |

Can you please explain how the difference between left and right corner would solve the workspace problem?
Note that typing random characters won't solve the captcha challenges. |
