Tips against download restrictions
Hi everyone, I noticed a couple of interesting things about gounlimited and videobin, that maybe can be extended to other hosts:
- simultaneous downloads are limited to one, but I noticed that if you have several files listed with gounlimited and vidobin, with an active download for each, if you simultaneously add several downloads of a host that has no limitations, such as clipwhatching, then multiple downloads also start on gounlimited and videobin - the two hosts, especially videobins, are very slow, but the download starts fast and then slows down, therefore continuing to stop and restart the download it ends much earlier Would it be possible to take advantage of these things to make jdownloader more efficient and make downloads faster? Thank you. Last edited by Cozmo; 30.12.2019 at 06:24. |

I do not understand your first point.
Regarding your 2nd point: I have enabled unlimited simultaneous downloads for gounlimited and videobin for the next update. Regarding the auto-restart on low speed: This would be possible via Event Scripter scripts (use the forum search). -psp-

So meanwhile thanks for the update, in the first point I explained that before this update only one download started at a time with gounlimited and videobin, but adding more downloads from other hosts while that of gounlimited and videobin is in progress multiple downloads started also for gounlimited and videobin.
Now with the update multiple downloads start even without adding links from other hosts. However before and now the downloads must be started together; for example if there is a download in progress with videobin and another link of the same host is added, the second does not start until the first has finished, instead if the donloads in progress are interrupted and then restarted then they all start. In any case, this is not a problem, just know it and stop and restart. Thanks again. EDIT What I wrote is not completely correct: sometimes the downloads simply start adding them to the ones in progress, sometimes instead you have to start and stop as I had written. These hosts, in particular videobins, sometimes work sometimes not, for example with videobin in the last days it was possible to copy the links in jdownloader only at certain times of the day, in others the links were not detected. We have a basic template for the script which these mentioned filehosts are using.
This has a function to start downloads one after another which cannot be easily removed and is there for multiple reasons! Also with these filehosts, they will often have limits per fileserver. The fileserver is determined after starting a download / once the final downloadurl is created. This is a special constellation for which our limit system is not made. If we knew before which downloadserver a user would get and knew the limit per server we could set it more precise but the way it currently works is that we simply set the limits of one fileserver as the generic limit of a filehost. This will usually work as most of these filehosts will have this exact limit as their global limit. Hardcoding limits might not be the very best solution but it helps to avoid unnecessary errors and keeps the traffic low - we do not want to bomb these sites with requests -psp-
