java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
Seems like Firewall/AV kills the connection. Please check them and make sure to exclude JDownloader and its java

@Jiaz, Same issues happens. I've disabled my AV, which is Kaspersky, Disabled Windows defender, and windows firewall service. Here's the log

Set max connections lower. I suggest to set max connections to 1
Still connection reset. So either their firewall kills the connection or something *between* or local firewall/av are still causing issues.
Do you use P2P at the same time? Maybe NAT Table overflow.

@Jiaz I'm able to download using Internet Explorer without disconnecting and maintaining a constant 2.5MB/sec. My rapidgator downloads on browsers like chrome and firefox will cause a disconnect. I'm not sure how the download managers work on firefox and chrome. It seems to have something to do with Java...but why does k2s works fine with jdownloader.

I'm not using any P2P software. How would I check NAT table overflow? My guess is to try disabling the Router Firewall. I'll post back with what I find.

Did you check your firewall/av? In doubt you should uninstall them and reboot and try again. K2s is complete different hoster. So the issue might be caused on your side (firewall/av) or on server side (firewall). Did you try with max connections set to 1 ?

rapidgator.net timing issues.

I'm not sure if this is anything to do with some of the previous issues but, I noticed as of the beginning of this weekend or after an update, that rapidgator.net and JDownloader timing is no longer in sync.

Normally as a free user one has to wait 120 minutes (2 hours) between downloads. Currently though it seems that now something is not syncing as now it shows I have to wait 180 minutes (3 hours) and often when I restart JD or stop and start it for updates or what ever reason .... JD resets at 3hour wait period when restarting the dl.

This is still happening after this mornings latest update

Rapidgator has a daily limit and an hourly limit.
On hourly limit JDownloader waits for 2 hours, on daily limit it waits for 3 hours
No changes in JDownloader plugin since 17.10.16

From your log I can see that you've reached daily limit

Default Rapidgator Download speed issues.

Hi there.
Thanks for all you guys do.
I too am having the same issues downloading from Rapidgator on Premium account. I have premium accounts with Uploaded.net and a few others and have no issues with them at all, only rapidgator. Looking through the issues in this post it must be their firewall. I have contacted them directly with compliant, however refuse to assist.
I removed my eset security antivirus, just incase it was causing an issue. I have tried downloading using 4 different browers. Exactly the same.
It downloads at high speeds, starts to throttle off, and then connection error.
I have tried everything. Here is my log. Hope you can assist me sorting this out.

I am using Wireless router, speeds as I said for all other sites is fine. Thanks for your help.

@etgohome: You should try to use a VPN to check if your ISP messes/has issues.
Connections to rapidgator all get killed

@Jiaz, I'm back with the same issue. I was able to test some things out.
1. I'm able to successfully download files from Rapidgator using the Microsoft Edge browser. Other browsers like Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox will have a connection error in the middle of the download.
2. I've also tried different download managers and get the same result as Jdownloader. Connection Error.
3. I've tried disabling every firewall I have and still the same issue persists only for rapidgator.

Exclamation Getting plugin outdated ever since the last JD2 update

Ran the latest update this morning. After that, all RG links are showing "plugin outdated".

I do not have a premium account. I've tried it both with a free account and anonymous. Same issue.

Am able to download via browser (firefox) with no issue.

Logs:

update should be live, as nothing is blocking core updates at this stage.

Default Problem with Rapidgator Downloads

I continue to draw the error comment "Connection Problem" whenever I attempt to download from Rapidgator..

I can input the same files into jdownloader and select FILEFACTORY as the same download source and will have NO interruption to the download.

Is there a problem using jdownloader and rapidgator on a high speed data connection....say, 80 Mbps.

Thank you

rapidgator has had a history of connection issues over the years. To tell you the reason for it, I'm not sure. Maybe bad transits between customers and servers, it could be over supply of customers to available bandwidth, it could be bad hardware which results in connectivity issues.

Please note...... I can load THE SAME LINKS into rapidgator and select FILEFACTORY as the download source .... and the download operation will be completed without error.

If I select Rapidgator instead of Filefactory with the SAME links and at the same time of day and with the SAME settings.... then the download operation incurs numerous "connection problem" errors . Why is this so? and if there is no solution then I will have to stop using jdownloader to download data from a rapidgator site. .. I would prefer Not to be forced into this action.

Any help or suggestions please?

it's quite simple,
rapidgator != filefactory
connectivity issues on reported provider, as I stated above.
They have had reported issues for years. At times more so than others. For some users it effects them more so than others.

Hi raztoki ... I hear what you say, but I must ask the question..... Do we have to accept the problem?

For example..... If I load say, 20 Rapidgator links into jdownloader, and whether I select to download one chunk or 20 chunks at a time I will get a "Connection Issue" error comment within a few seconds. It makes no difference whatever other settings I change.... the same error comment will occur.

Now..... If as soon as I see the error comment I immediately "disable" the connection and then immediately "enable" the same connection the download will restart again.

Against that background, and recognising the problem I discuss occurs mainly with Rapidgator....then why can't the normal four minute "wait" time for the restart of Rapidgator connection be reduced to two or three seconds. In this case interruptions to the Rapidgator\jdownloader scenario would not be so noticeable.

Comments will be welcomed.....\\

the problem is with the hoster, take the issue up with them? We can't do much to fix network reliability issues. Connection issues when they happen will auto retry after a short wait. This is to prevent hammering when retrying. You shouldn't have to disable/re-enable manually as JD core handles connection issues, and sets the wait times based on default wait value

You should NOT use 20 connections in normal situations. Set max connections to 1-4 and max downloads to 1-4.
Also check firewall/av as they can easily cause connection issues because of download interception.
