Default Megaupload problem

Hi all,
New to the forum.

Recently I have been having problem trying to download anything from Megaupload. I think it started when I registered as a free member.
The download starts but stops and the connection drops with the following error:

"Internet Explorer cannot download <file name> from megaupload.com. The connection with the server was reset."

Does anybody here know how to fix it.
I would like to revert back to not being a free member with Megaupload

Any help is very much appreciated.
David.

The connection with the server was reset.

your internetconnection broke and reconnected or
your firewall blocks
or
temporarily problems with megaupload

to remove your free member account (this has nothing to do the with problem) just logout from megaupload

Thanks for the information Jiaz.

I also thought that it was nothing to do with MU but the connection drops only when I am trying to download from MU.
I have downloaded the same files from work - different computer - and do not have the same problem and also do not hit the message 'download limit exceeded'.
I forgot to mention that I haven't installed the MU toolbar. Would that make any difference?
If all else fail, I might go and reinstall XP. Would that be an ultimate solution?

Thanks,
David.

Cool

If you like drastic solutions you could as well reformat your disk

I wouldn't do that. There are more customers who have reported problems with megaupload. Please, search on the board.

In order to help the developers, you could also produce a detailed log with the logging function of jD.

connection reset is no problem of jd, he also says that its not working in browser either. so it must be an isp / internetconnect/ firewall issue.
maybe you have a shared ip, or your isp is blocked by megaupload.

Hi all,

I think it is more likely that MU is restricting the isp.
At the moment I can kind of use a download manager to restart the download from last successful connection, but it takes a few hours to download a couple of hundred Ms.
I will try another computer and see if the same happens.

Thanks,

David.
