Default netload lately extremely slow speeds and connection lost

Lately with netload I've been getting extremely slow speeds and the connection is frequently lost. It's pretty much unusable. Anybody else experiencing this? Is it a hoster problem?

I've been having the same experience too, I tried downloading it normally through browser (i.e. manual means)but using jdownloader seem to cause problems which is why I've completely ditched the hoster.

I'm trying through Firefox and still only getting between 10-20 KB/sec. I'll need to give it some time and see if it at least doesn't lose the connection. This has just gotten like this in the past month. Used to get between 500-1500 KB/sec most times.

Free user in the United States. Well I guess these server issues are 24 hours a day and 7 days a week now. Couldn't complete one piece overnight. The one piece I tried through Firefox did at least complete but took well over an hour for 101.09 MB.

It's possible that all the servers' power is dedicated to the Premium users so the free users are suffering with loss of connections, slow speeds etc. Also bad routing to the servers may be the problem
As Premium user I can't confirm any server issues by the last month, got full speed of my network with correct jD settings (for comparison - better than HF).

Well there's no way I would pay and risk being in the same situation. Then have to fight to cancel and get a refund.

Today I have update Jdownloader and now Fileserve tell me invalid account. Before I update, Fileserve work fine, i'm a premium user.
In browser download work fine, and so with Free Download manager, with username and password, Why in Jdownloader tell me "invalid account". I think that is a bug in update...
Is possible a little help ? Many thank

Yes, I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem too. It's basically unusable for free users in the US at this point. Between 800 b/s and 10 kb/s and rarely ever finishes a file before disconnecting. It's 24-7 too, late night hours are no better. Oh well..

the timeout is not 120ms its 120 secs = 2 minutes, more than enough
the speed issues come from netload and make sure you use only max 1 connection if you get bad speed
also make sure you set your firewall/av right

Hi. No AV, no firewall. Only one connection. OnlyNetload has this problem. But, it isn't a my problem. More and more of my friends, in more cities and countries, have the same problem with netload.
Other strange thing is that only in jdownloader it happens. In various browsers, even if it's slow, but it'doesn't break down. All the time, the file is downloaded. Instead, in JD, it breaks down after 8mb, 50mb etc.. never all the file (100mb).

What's the difference between JD and a browser?

A browser is mainly used for browsing and jD is almost exclusively used for downloading. Many jD customers use jD for extracting and joining of downloaded files as well.

I think he means why is the download not completing in jd (every time) when it is in the browser (every time) with 1 download 1 connection. I think he knows the difference between a download manager and a browser!

 Exatly.. i know the difference between JD and browser..

I live in italy.. All my friends live in Italy (someone in England too) but it's the same thing.
One month ago, netload was fine with free account too. After, it's very very slow (for free account). Almost, with browser, a file is full downloaded. No in JD .
Without go around the problem, this thing happens (with netload) for all people in all countries..
Try to download any file with JD from netload.. it will be the same for you too!

What have a browser (the engine program) more than a JD engine?

Other differences are that :-

1) the developers of jD don't develop browsers. This means that both categories of programs are designed and programmed by different people.

2) jD is written in java and most browsers are not.

@cicciobua

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

Read my post #14 if it still doesn't work. Ask me if you don't understand it and I'll translate it to the language of La Bella Italia.

Since I first tried it about a year ago, Netload has always been very slow for free users. The actual speed varies depending on the load on the server. Where you live is also important. Undersea cables, trans-Siberian cables, or satellite connection will slow down communications.

Some ISPs and or National Routers filter some of the download hosts. This might also apply to netload.in.
____________________________________________

Please change both max.con and max.dls. to 1 (temporarily). Please make sure that you set the timeouts in Settings -> Download & Connections -> Internet & Network to 120000ms for both values.

If you are using MS Wnd 2K or XP, read (and apply) Optimizing Your Internet Connection and restart your computer. If you are using MS Vista or later, the OS does the optimization automatically.

Start JDownloader downloading a large netload file and measure the speed that netload is downloading for you (with no competition for your local network).

I am running a test on Nightly (I have several other downloads running right now that I do not want to stop, so I cannot test Stable right now). I am seeing free speeds from 2.5KiB/s to 18KiB/s (it seems to average around 7.5). It does not appear to be stopping.

Once you have an idea of how fast netload.in is downloading, you can increase max.dls. by 1 at a time until the netload.in download starts to slow (then decrease max.dls by 1).

This topic is marked solved, because it works in Nightly (so any required fixes have been made, even if they could not be integrated into Stable).

Only one connection. No other download from any software or browser. It losses the connection with JD at any hour.

All my friend in Italy, since a month ago, has this promlem too. Before, it was ok for all of us!

I have posted my log in this thread (i can't post the links OF COURSE).. But the problem shows in the log, it has been full downloaded from firefox (chrome is ok the same).
Thanks anyway. There is something difference between JD and browser that can loss the conenction in JD but no on a browser.
The speed is very slow, 5k - 20k. But on a browser a file is full downloaded.

Thanks anyway

Netload was always slow, but not like this. At least during low traffic hours I could get 100+kbps. Now it maxes out at 20, and I've yet to manage a file over 200mb. JDownloader really isn't the problem here.

As long as this has lasted, I doubt it's a DDOS or something. They probably downgraded their capacity.
Filefactory did this a long while ago and survived, but it's the only one. Netload probably has a few months left.
