Thanks. This worked for me. Seems I had signed up for a free account years ago but I had forgotten all about it. Thanks to the excellent Chrome Sync! Downloads started after setting max. chunk to 1. Dunno if the download will actually finish or not as the speeds for free users are despicably low. Filejoker is the worst filehoster ever.

Again because more and more users keep asking, also via our support-ticket-system here is another attempt of mine to clarify what's going on:

- hcaptcha is a kind of captcha like googles reCaptcha (see hcaptcha.com)
- JD doesn't support it yet
--> This means that whenever a hcaptcha needs to be solved during a login process or download process, JD can't handle it yet and in most of all cases you will get the errors like "Plugin outdated" or "Unsupported captcha type hcaptcha".
- If you own a premium account for a service and are unable to use it in JD due to them using hcaptcha, please contact the website owner and kindly ask them to remove hcaptcha in their login process to allow automated (JD) downloads again.
--> Website owners may as well contact us to find a solution: support@jdownloader.org
--> Otherwise you'll have to wait until JDownloader supports hcaptcha!

Best regards,
pspzockerscene

Is there a way to set maximum chunks on a per-site basis permanently? Unless I set it to 1 for FJ downloads don't seem to start. OTOH since the setting is global other downloads suffer from low speeds if I don't remember to change it back to the original values.

Settings -> Packagizer -> Add -> Downloadurl -> Contains -> Enter something that is always in their final downloadurls
... then set
Chunks/Connections -> 1

Keep in mind that this will only apply for URLs added after the rule has been created!
Make sure to test your rule so you know it is working.
See also our Packagizer knowledgebase article.

EDIT

Here is an example how it could be done:

Any idea why that when I do this, I get a file names "ERROR' in JD instead of the file I'm trying to download. I get to th the download link and when I copy link location it always says Error instead of the needed file.

@2talll
1. Try again with only 1 chunk/connection.
2. Post a log so we can check this:

Please post your log-ID here | bitte poste deine Log-ID hier.

EDIT

I'm unable to reproduce your issue here!
Please open that file in a Text-Editor and see what's inside.
It probably contains an errorm-message from filejoker.net which maybe explains why that keeps happening to you!

Already had it set to one chunk and that didn't work. logged and logged back in online and that didn't help. Heres the log

07.04.21 21.03.01 <--> 08.04.21 15.09.19 jdlog://8130825302851/

@2talli:
Log shows that the connection times out
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
You should check local firewall/av. This error is not caused by JDownloader

Thats odd. Firewall and anti-virus are set to allow all Jdownloader activity. And EVERYTHING else works except these Filejoker files, which pop up as "error" immediately. Guess I'm SOL and stuck dealing with downloading them through browser and taking a full day to get TWO files downloaded.

Any idea when JD will have the hcaptcha workaround?

@2talli: have you tried to download them in browser?
hcaptcha-> I'm waiting for some feedback of another dev that seemed to be working on this

Browser works fine, but half the time the downloads get 99.99% finished and stop working. I then get to wait three and a half hours to try again... very frustrating.

I have the same problem. And now there are many servers using hcaptcha, it's not only filejoker, so it's getting very annoying

Again the same question:
Are you trying manual download or download via plugin?
Manual download of pre-generated directurls without using our plugin should work just fine!

Again:
Due to our missing hcaptrcha support, we cannot yet support automated downloads of services using hcaptcha.
We are working on it but this takes time although for users it may seem like all that has to be done is to auto open the browser and click inside that checkbox but it's not that easy

Since the bugtracker is no longer publicly available, is there any other way to follow progress on the hCaptcha implementation? I know that the fixes are still a ways out, but wasn't sure whether that meant more along the lines of later this year, or something like 2022-2023.

@Twizted: There is no progress available at all at that ticket right now. I hope to make good progress by next week

given jd inability to solve this (and cloudflare) for over a year+ i'm honestly surprised that more hosts aren't using it to block jd.

@ypp: Using cloudflare comes at cost and it's much easier to block tools. Also the main purpose of cloudflare is NOT to block tools but to protect against (ddos) attacks from competitors. I would also guess a hoster is more happy to still have a (paying) customer that can continue to use his/her favorite tool instead of switching to another site beause the tool no longer works.
