oh and i would like to add that i have enough space and full admin access.

Does that folder exist? Check the permission properties of this D:\Jdownloads\ folder and verify that you've write permissions. Reset the file.

does d:\jdownloads REALLY exist? usb drives may change drive name

yes it exists and i'm the owner and admin and it is on read/write.

d is my caviar black so it really exists.

edit: problem solved! i changed the whole sharing to read/write for everyone and it works now. thanks for helping.
