Default DLC encryption

According to http://wiki.jdownloader.org/knowledg...c-rsdf-and-ccf,

I don't understand. jDownloader has to decrypt the container, and it's open source. Why can't somebody decrypt dlcs by copying the relevant code from jDownloader, or modifying jDownloader to output the decrypted links?

Actually you can decrypt DLC. Just visit containerex.info and you'll see.
The sentence "To date, the dlc encryption has not been broken." just means that up to date nobody broke AES encryption which jDownloader uses.
Although unlike CCF, jDownloader uses an online-DRM-scheme that can change the DLC-keys just like the AACS LA can change the BluRay-DRM keys.

But just like it happened to BluRay-DRM the "pirates" (lol pirates cracking pirates DRM) managed to extract the keys quicker than they could be replaced and after a lot of customers complained about the "change the key" game that periodically rendered their equipment useless, jDownloader gave up the cat and mouse game with the DLC-pirates.

Luckily there is a open-source successor to the DLC-scheme (called DLC 2), that will not rely on DRM, but it's been announced since ages and as it seems now it will be released the time you will be able to download Duke Nukem Forever with jDownloader on your Hurd distribution.
:P
