JD is totaly messing up my audio
XPpro SP3
NVIDIA 8600GTS M-Audio JamLab JD 0.4.936 Sound is crackling in video or audio playback whenever JD is open... which is all the time:confused: It has something to do with the refresh of JD's GUI. * The crackling is there whether JD is in the background or forground. * Putting it on the forground and moving the mouse pointer over it is enough to make it "crackle" a video/audio playback even more. * Trying to readjust a column's width in the GUI is messing the audio with every move. Installing the newest NVIDIA and M-AUDIO drivers didn't change a thing. Lowering the thread priority of JD also has no effect. Changing media player app doesn't have an effect. The **WORST** case is when having a video running and pluging my guitar for real time audio processing, which even though this uses ASIO drivers which are not used by playback applications, makes audio (both guitar and playback) barely audioable because of the totaly chopped up sound. Changing the buffer size of the ASIO drivers from say 256 to 1024 (which means "bye bye real time processing") brings things back to "normal crackle" levels without audio input:blink: JD is a very nice app, but if I need to choose between it and my guitar (or reruns of Seinfeld:P)... no contest:angel: (help) |
