Does JD remember old downloads somewhere?
Assume I downloaded something with JDownloader.
After finish and extracting I store it to an external drive. Then I delete the download folder physically by erasing and delete the entry in JDownload download list. Are there still any tracks in some internal index or history files in JDownloader left? Peter |

JDownloader keeps backups of old DownloadLists (5 by default). That and maybe some stuff in log folder (auto cleaned after 7 days). But after enough changes (move, add/disable) in list, the backups of List will have changed and no trace of the previous downloaded file. No History for what have been downloaded.

@Jiaz
Thank you. Is there a preference to decrrease the number of DownloadLists or even better to auto-delete all data (including log data) x days after download finished? If not: I would like to issue a feature request |

-You can disable logging by setting logsize smaller than 100kb
-You can change number of ListBackups Both in Settings-Advanced Settings

When I goto Advanced Settings and type "List Backups" in the search field then there is no such field.
If I type in search field "log size" and try to change the only found field "Log: Max Log File Size" then I cannot go below 10485737 So log file is always enabled. Again: How can I disable completely history and logging? |

Log File Size: Spinner can be lower for me or just enter value manually (eg 100)
Max Log Files: down to 1 but not needed as you can disable logging completelly by reducing log file size less than 100 kb

Ok, entering simply the number 100 does NOT work. This value is automatically resetted by JD.
Users have to MANUALLY use Spinner in addition. Then it works. Furthermore I would suggest to introduce a new option "logging enabled". Having to remember independencies between all these log file parameters is confusing. "enable logging" is fool proofed and straighforwarded. |

100 <enter> will work. if you don't press enter it wont accept the edit.
We rather everything is logged at this stage, so we can determine issues without the need for users to enable logging, restart click, reproduce issue (if they can). This was a constant issue in JD1 and earlier versions. Lot easier and quicker to resolves issues out of the box and makes it idiot proof. Very few users so far want to purge content on exit.

Log disabling works fine, enter 100 and press enter
