Exclamation JD can not support proxies well

Hello!

I try many times to download with proxies on JD, but i can not download from many proxies with JD.

For example I can surf on the browser with a proxy and i can watch also videos (flashes, medias...) properly, but with the same proxy i can not download a file. Also i try this: I close the browser and i try to download the video which i watch it before closing the browser. So JD must to download it. But it could.

This is not for all proxies but most of them are not working with JD.

I don't know if the proxies let don't let you to download from any download manager. But if JD can change it's user-agent-string, I can show myself like a browser. Maybe i can download the files from any proxy.

Thank you!

You need to configure the proxy in Settings -> Basics -> Downloads & Connections -> Internet & Network -> Proxy Settings. Then restart jD.

My proxies are SOCKS5. I am sure about that because when i change the proxy from Firefox, I change the SOCK v5 selection from Network settings of Firefox.

Sorry, I had not note that the important thing here: My proxies which I use are very slow. I don't know why but i think JD can not download just because they are very slow.

But i need to use them anyway. For me is not problem if they are slow or not.

The question is: Did you try to use Proxy + JD + Rapidshare.com?
If so, see Joaz's post above, if not, please send the proxies to Jiaz so he can check what's wrong!

No rapidshare or something like these sites. Directly starts the link from a link like ftp.

I use many proxy from different sites. But i will send you a free proxy list as an example:

h t t p : / / h i d e m y a s s . c o m /proxy-list/ Here get an fast proxy. It does not writes if it is SOCKS 4 or 5. So you need to check it by one one.

This will take your time. Sorry about that :(

Thank you!

Are you serious? Do you really think jD's programmers are going to spend their precious time checking all those proxies? They change every minute and there are thousands of them, so this is an endless task.

If you can't give them one particular example of a problematic proxy then they likely won't do anything about this issue.
